As mentioned in the U21 thread, some players have tweeted about being in the U19 squad for a friendly against Italy.

You would have thought masterson from pool wood be involved. Interesting that mccourt (he of the impressive beard) is only one to step up from the 17s that went to the euros. Thought dunne at utd wood be in he has started season centre half for man utd and this is his last year under 19 I think, No real new faces in this squad except maybe cadman who is a new one on me. As usual seems light on strikers.

Any word on former under 19 stalwarts, Ryan McConnell and Kyle McFadden, Liam? Haven't heard anything on either since their releases earlier this summer.

Any word on former under 19 stalwarts, Ryan McConnell and Kyle McFadden, Liam? Haven't heard anything on either since their releases earlier this summer.

Ryan McConnell was still in Donegal recently, had an offer from Finn Harps to train with them but I think he was training with Derry City for a bit and Letterkenny Rovers.

Kyle McFadden had an offer to train with Harps too but I think he's stuck it out in England in the search for a club there.

Haven't heard anything though in a few weeks of either player.
