Is he a decent prospect then? For what it's worth, I think S Gerrard is one of the finest midfielders around. That goal against Olympiakos was sensational.

I think Gerrard is a class act too and his goal was brilliantly taken. However I took issue with some of the press reports on Thursday applauding his leadership. One paper said it was up there with Roy Keane's leadership in Turin.

Didn't they notice a dangerous tackle and a deliberate kick at an apponent that could each have earned him a straight red? In fact in an international tournament I reckon he'd have been in trouble.

Doesn't Ireland have a cousin of Gerrard's in the underage set-up? Is it the guy mentioned above? Is Darren Potter related to him?
