12th you know your a man after my own heart, Old pumpkin head's versions of 'Anarchy in Timperely', 'Timperely Blues' and particularly his version of 'I should be so Lucky' are also highly recomended.

its a shame but i think there's a whole generation out there who've never been exposed to frank and his sidekick "little frank".

pat, maybe if we keep going on about him someone will take an interest

to the tune of (there aint no cure for)"the summertime blues"
"i sent little frank out to get me a visa"
"but little frankie brought me home a pepperoni pizza"

Not forgetting Franks cover of Campervan Bethoven's ''Take the skinhead's bowling''.

    Touch of class.
Its crazy to see people be what society wants them to be but not me.

I propose that at least once month we try to get a mention of Frank into a thread no matter on what subject, all the pups on the site will at least know something about the great man.

Frank was supposed to perform at half time during a match during the dark Bishopstown to publicise a benefit gig he was doing for the CCISA that night in The Village, but manager at the time Damien Richardson or maybe it was Plonk wouldn't allow it for some reason. In fairness to Rico he was the only one involved with CCFC that turned up for the gig that night along with Tony Eels, (despite the fact that the entire City team were on the guest list) and was apologetic about not allowing him to perform.

Sorry to be resurrecting the thread again but I was reminded of The Farm's version of 'Stepping Stone' (The Monkeys) last night, not a great fan of the band in general, but this tunes a cracker.

And now I'm resurrecting it again to put in a mention for Talking Heads cover of Al Green's "Take me to the River".

Isn't that a Leonard Cohen song?

Speaking of which: JAMC - Tower of song.

It's hard to beat a ska version of any song

Scofflaws - the good the bad and the ugly
Bad Manners - magnificent 7; my girl lollipop
tony tribe/ub40 - red red wine
    Some of the specials songs, including -a message to you, rudie; monkey man;
Ditto Madness - One step beyond; madness; it must be love.

Johnny Cash' version of Nick Caves 'The Mercy Seat' -it's on American III.
he shortens it a bit -but it's like it was written for him.
" I wish to God that someone would be able to block out the voices in my head for five minutes, the voices that scream, over and over again: "Why do they come to me to die?"
