have not been on in a while away working, listening to the lads on the commentry we were well toasted tonight, having lost our last 2 home games we need to change that next week...we can still do it,
After tonight's display hard to see it think that could be it , Derry taught us a lesson wanted it way more simple as that we huffed and puffed first half without any great penetration 2nd half we were awful. Too many players never turned up tonight players that have been playing so well since July , lee Lynch has been superb since he came but tonight was a night he will want to forget he was terrible , turner never turned up either non existent . Real shame 2600 there a win would have given us great momentum going into the televised game next Friday very hard to see us getting anything off rovers . I will never understand people leaving with 20 mins or so to go yes we probably never looked like scoring but stay on and support the team when they need it most I'm sure a lot of them won't be there next Friday night.
And that everyone is exactly what the experienced Limerick fans were worried about.
What is more worrying for me than anything is we have had 2 chances in our recent run to get off the bottom away to Bray and lastnight and on both occasions we were absolutely terrible is it just coincidence or is it nerves? Because if it is nerves that is not a good thing if we do manage to make it to last day against Sligo. Except for Dean Clarke and Shaun Kelly I can't think of anyone that did well really lastnight a few of the other lads it wasn't their fault that they hadn't a good game they were put in horrible positions by the people around em or in Fahertys case was not supplied at all. The decision to take Paul O Conor off was very harsh and imo an awful decision with how others were playing if he wasn't injured. I'd love to know too what Martins problem with prince is he has to play if Lee J is suspended against Rovers.
We collapsed under the weight of expectation they could not hack it looked nervous from word go , **** did not realise Lee j was suspended against rovers disaster yes he was poor last night but he makes us tick and anytime he does not play we struggle to create big-time , as good as prince is he is not the same type of player and has got very little game time since he came back
Two absolutely unbelievably important games coming up for the Blues. Two games which will define what path the club takes over possibly the next decade. Let's get behind the club big time.
When we are here you'll never die...we'll keep the blue flag flying high Limerick FC will never die we'll keep the blue flag flying high WE'LL NEVER DIE WE'LL NEVER DIE WE'LL KEEP THE BLUE FLAG FLYING HIGH Limerick FC will never die we'll keep the blue flag flying high
Was just chatting to my father back home. He went along to the game, and was told at the gate that they couldn't sell him a stand ticket, despite the fact that there were empty seats in the stand the whole way through. Not the only person I've heard say that. What's worse, the lad on the gate told him he could have a ticket for the stand behind the goal - the away stand - but when my father tried to enter he was, naturally, told he couldn't as it was for Derry fans, and sent to the terraces instead! Got stuck behind the dugouts he says, couldn't see anything.
Yeah, it all sounded very strange. Are the positions behind the dugouts bad enough that they block visibility? My fathers not a very tall man, but he isn't short either.
People don't sit on the upper left of the main stand because the sight lines are absolutely appalling, I'm not exaggerating when I say in the top ten or twelve rows there is literally a concrete wall obscuring a full half of the pitch
A few people mentioned the same thing and I was surprised as there were maybe 4/5 empty seats where I was sitting , did they lose count of how many seats they had sold surely can't have been the case . Surely that will be a bigger problem Friday when rovers will have all the away stand
I walked down to MF at quarter to 6, and they wouldn't sell me a stand ticket, some load of ******, stand didn't fill up until just before ko, and there were 50 empty seats in there at the very least. The terrace was a ****e view, and I can imagine it's even worse behind the dugouts.
Have gone to most games this year, even when the team was crap, pretty annoying to have your seat in the stand unavailable, when a crowd shows up. I wouldn't mind if I showed up late enough, but sure I was there nearly an hour before kick off.. Then sure almost 1,000 were gone before the final whistle blew.
Club can't sell stand tickets if there are none left, I reckon I've gotten one in the butchers on Kings Island on the morning of almost every home game, even got a lovely few chops for the tea. What a world we live in.
The only explanation for not selling people tickets for the stand is that they were all gone. There is no way the club could turn down €15 from someone. A certain amount also need to be kept for student, oap and underage so they were probably still left unsold.
Stand holds 1,300. At a rough guess 1,000 of that are adult and the rest divided up amoungst Kids, Student, OAP and the Corporate area.
If the club managed to shift 1,000 adult tickets before the evening of a game that's brilliant. Gleesons and The butchers would have still had a few tickets up to 6pm also for anyone that arrived there to buy one.
Its probably nothing more than the lads at the club getting used to running things at the new ground with such a big crowd. Some of those seats are left free too because me and the lads buy stand tickets and then we all cram in together standing so that leaves seats free elsewhere.
