Result from today's first league match: Wexford Youths 1, Bray Wanderers 1. Late equaliser by the Youths secured a share of the points which the Youths will probably be happy with as Bray had the better chances in a tight game. Neither side committed many bodies forward and chances were relatively scarce. Bray's goal came two minutes into the second half.

Result from today: Wexford Youths 2, Limerick 4. Very open game with lots of chances for both sides, but Limerick had that bit more going forward. Limerick had one of their centre-halves sent off with five minutes to go and the Youths hit the post a couple of minutes later. 2-0 for Limerick at half-time.

Result from today: Wexford Youths 4, Cobh Ramblers 1. Dominant second half performance from the Youths meant that they came out deserved winners. Youths had gone in 1-0 down at half-time as the first period generated very few chances. Cobh's goal had come an error in the Wexford defence when they gave the ball away in their own third. However, Wexford scored four unanswered goals in the second half as they created down both sides of the pitch. Fourth goal was particularly good as the left winger cut in onto his right and curled in a shot at the far post.

Result from today: Wexford Youths 1, Cork City 0. Really good result by the home side against Cork who previously had a 100% record. Very close game between two evenly matched sides. Goal came on the half-hour when the Wexford centre-forward held off the Cork defender and then smacked it past the Cork keeper. Cork had a number of chances to equalise in the second half but couldn't take them while Wexford had two good chances late on to make the game safe. Wexford are a big physical side and tended to win the 50-50s.

Result from today: Wexford Youths 5, UCD 1. Closer than the result suggests as Wexford got two very late goals to put the icing on the cake. Score was 1-1 after eight minutes with two good crosses creating a goal apiece. However, Wexford got two further goals in the first half to leave it at 3-1 at half-time. UCD had a number of chances in the second half but some poor shooting and good keeping by Dunbar in the Wexford goal kept them at bay. Two late goals by Quinlan for Wexford then left them clear winners. Wexford offer a lot going forward this year and to be fair UCD did as well but it all tended to be channelled, in the case of UCD, through an excellent left winger.
