It could well be another mistake, they put Robbie McGuinness's name up in error as well, it was taken down a few days later

All of our out-of-contract players are technically free agents hence Hairy Noel Mooney and Terry Palmer being on the list but both will more than likely be resigned - unless they get an offer elsewhere in the meantime.

Confused? Well it is Rovers where nothing is simple and nothing makes sense.

Shamrock Rovers goalkeeper Noel Mooney has been included in the most up-to-date list of free agents compiled by the Professional Footballers Association of Ireland (PFAI).

Mooney joined Rovers from Cork City before the start of the 2004 season, and was immediately installed as first choice keeper at the club.
