He is aiming for a comeback from his injury problems by the start of the season, when he hopes to be fully fit. I'm really hoping that he will be back, we need him to put a little pressure on Dan, and I reckon Derek and Benno would be a great combination.

If he does come back next season, I'd like to see him getting a run. To be honest, Murray looked very shakey at times last season and I've always liked Dereks no-nonsense approach. Anyone agree???

Yes, plenty agree, but plenty also thought that Derek was "making" Dan play crap last season which is the most bizarre thing I've ever heard.

However-i wouldn't hold much hope for him when he does return. I never thought he was amazing on his last return as most people do-he was good, but nothing better than Murray last season tbh. And do we need the new Deccie, which is what i fear Derek will become. Think of the hoofing my people

I know ####### Rebel was pretty reliable for most of the season but he looked dodgy at times IMO!!

I don't think they complemented each other at all. they're too similar and didn't seem to have a great understanding. anyway, hardly an issue now as benno surely the first choice?!

Danny Murphy is an excellent player, but he was wrecked at the end of the season and his concentration was brutal- the fact that our defence tightened up when greg came in for him was no coincidence. as for him being the new deccie- no way, not at centre half anyway!

You'd think so but....the pairing of Dan and Derek let in less goal than the pairing of Dan and Benno that season.

Benno has become a much better player this season tho'.

I've go with Benno plus who which ever one of the other 3/4 (Lordan and Greg included) is playing better

My choice would till this season would have been Dan + Derek, but now Benno would definately take Dan's place, he's improved no end.

(btw, in the above post, all those # marks are where C0CKNEY should be)
