Can only judge on players that I've seen so.....
    Billy Woods
    Dave Barry
    Patsy Freyne
    Judas Cahill

I'm sure there were plenty of other equally good players before most of our time but I can't really judge them without having seen them play.

Sorry - only one of these even comes near - the inimitable Freyne

Add in John Lawson, Gerry McCabe and Carl Humphries and you have a midfield worth paying to see. Mind you, you probably owuldn't win too many trophies with them but you'ld see some football!

has tobe dave barry. what a genius.
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

    No doubt about it-Patsy.

You still see him out at the cross-just look for the native American smoke signals from behind Donie Forde

How come they have Carl Humphries down as a Celtic player?
He scored the goal for Hibs down the Lodge to beat $hels in the Cup Final replay.....
Couldn't they have put down Hibs/Celtic?

Best midfielder there is John Lawson without a shadow of a doubt.
    My four would be:
    Billy Woods
    Patsy Freyne
    John Lawson
    Paul O'Donovan

Not a wind-up, but if Billy Woods makes it on that list, then surely Alan Reynolds should be on it too. Like him or loathe him, he was one class act on the pitch (when he could keep his gob shut)

    Beat that!

BTW, shouldn't all of this be for CORK'S greatest team, not CITY'S? Like, most of 'em never played for CCFC....

BTW 2, the defenders list was a joke, surely?

I remember Carl Humphries as someone who played most of his career with Celtic through the late 60's and early 70's but eventually got some sense and joined Hibs up at the Lodge ...

    Patsy Freyne.
I'm presuming this is for contribution to Cork football and not best four midfielders to put on a Cork shirt.
    Otherwise,
    Roy Keane,
    George Best, (Rodney Marsh?)
    Patsy and
    i dunno,
    some ould fella.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

O'Bama - "Eerah yeah, I'd say we can alright!"

    G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!
