All finals have to be in the cross . It's some lads only chance ever to play there to be fair .
Fair point but I'm just playing devils advocate here now . Can you really justify losing 500 or 600 on each cup final ? Say for example the Aoh might break even or small profit but the likes of the 3 divisional cups the Corithian and city county lose money and Mossi would lose money too that's a cost of 3000 to run them cups ? Is it worth it could the money be put to better use ? Could Carrig hold a cup final for example and get half the gate would that not help Carrig and if finals spread around abit would it not circulate money into clubs just an idea . Would it encourage clubs to develope their grounds give clubs a bit of pride to hold a cup final . As I say I'm only putting ideas out their you can agree disagree etc or offer other ideas .

Good answer oldlegs doesn't discriminate much and solid reasons. I would still have the divisional cups there myself though. As others mention it is a major reward for clubs in lower divisions who to be fair pay their way the same as top clubs. I know they can win these cups too but its less likely. When do they only take in 300-400 at gate? Any cup finals I was at had attendance of 150 minimum surely paying
Most are kids so either free or small fee to be fair
As I said I'm only playing devils advocate
I was told at the start of this season in a chance meeting with a prominent figure
it costs Aul 500 to rent the cross and that they ALWAYS make it back.
I would love to know how much the AUL makes a year on fines?
Any fixtures out for next weekend?
I was thinking more along the lines of averaging 30 games per week, with 3 yellows per game at €5 a yellow. That’s (30x3x5) = €450 a week not including for red cards.
If you averaged it out across the season with cup and league games say 30 weeks its 450x30 =€13,500
Old legs I say the AUL will have enough for the cross alright kid.
Never got a red wouldn't know about them![]()
I agree with oldlegs but can see where your coming from too .. why not pick one cup get to the cross and delegate the other finals which every would be welcome income for other clubs ???
