Disappointing night for the West Cork team. Cork AUL thoroughly deserved their win and to be honest the scoreline flattered us in the end a bit. By that stage the Cork Lads had taken their foot of the pedal and with Limerick beating Kerry by the same score I hope it doesn't come back to bite them. Never recovered from conceding the first two goals so early and simply couldn't match the AUL side all over the pitch in just about every department. We had a few moments in the game but by in large the AUL dealt with most of what we could throw at them this evening. Conditions were tough but the AUL side coped much better with them and defended very well in the second against a strong breeze. They worked hard for each other all over the pitch and showed great intensity and desire to move the ball fast. John Corcoran was fantastic and was my man of the match he was gifted 1 but his volley for the 4th was the highlight of the night. Low point had to be a terrible penalty decision against the AUL. A harsh lesson for the West Cork lads but we need to pick ourselves up and look to Limerick away. Congratulations to John Paul and his staff for a well deserved win.

well done to the aul lads tonight great proformance everybody working hard for each other ... set up the home ties nicely . the ref was terrible down there ... if it was a tight game there they wouldn't have coming away with a result I say that's how bad he was

PERformance bud not proformance . West Cork league side were as poor as the ref . Aul should have hit them for 9 or 10 . Goal difference might hurt them but I hope not . Aul played well and deserved their win
