KR Reykjavik v Cork City 20.10 setanta sports Ireland. Thursday 9/7/15
Any coverage scheduled for the dundalk game yet?
In case people are wondering, BATE v Dundalk (Wednesday, July 15) will be shown Live on БЕЛАРУСЬ 5 (Belarus 5), coverage starts at 18:25
That's the best so far...
You'd imagine Setanta might pick that up yet.

I'd fully expect Setanta to pick this up seeing as they picked up the Europa league games.
This guy works for Setanta.

Apparently setanta only have rights for the Europa league and sold the CL rights to bt sports, so unless rte show the game it won't be on Irish tv's....

It seems that BATE v Dundalk is live on Belarussian television, so hopefully we'll at least be able to pick up a stream
Sent off emails and tweets to RTÉ asking about live coverage of the CL game, but to no avail. Even a tweet to Tony O'Donoghue asking did he know of any plans to cover the games, but nothing back there either. Didn't really expect any reply, but sure, you don't know until you try.
It's pretty disappointing to say the least from RTÉ.

By that they mean they won't pay to show any more games
Champions League qualifying rounds 1, 2 & 3 and Europa League qualifying rounds 1, 2, 3 & play off are not covered by any TV contracts and can be shown by any channel that wishes to do so (provided they pay)
The rights deals relating to group stages (and CL play off!) have nothing to do with it (For example Skonto v Pats was shown on Premier Sports in the UK despite BT sport having the EL rights).

RTE won't bother unless it's a huge European side or any bog-standard English team. Setanta are the only chance of coverage, but that depends on Belarussian TV giving them a reasonable rate.
No hope there at this late stage so its dodgy online streams and twitter updates. Bit odd really when Corks game in Iceland was shown. No matter, back in the day it was listening to lmfm on a phoneline on to hear Ricy McEvoy score and tease us with the away goal :/
I dunno, I'm sure one of the Rovers games a few years back (Talinn I think) was announced less than 24 hours before kick off. I'd imagine the host broadcaster is the problem - they presumably paid a decent wedge for the rights and would have expected a country like Ireland to be offering more than Setanta are.
For anyone interested, TNS v Videoton is on Welsh channel S4C tonight. Available on Sky, and presumably UPC. Kick off at 7pm there.

There were streams for Tallinn and Copenhagen that season too, I'm almost sure at least one had English commentary so must have been on tv somewhere too.
Edit, if I remember correctly Rovers actually streamed the Tallinn match themselves and the Danish one was on tv someplace.
