U15 player of the year Lee O'Connor has signed a three year deal with Manchester United. There's an article in today's Waterford News and Star, but it's not online if anyone has seen it

Like Coleman, O'Connor is an attacking full-back and will depart his local club Villa FC in July to join Nicky Butt's United Academy, where he'll begin full-time training.
he's a centre half, not a full back. Occasionally plays in centre mid as well.

Young keeper Danny Rogers has been named PFA Scottish Championship goalkeeper of the year. Really liked him any time I've seen him for the under 21s. Commanding and excellent with the ball at his feet. He has amassed a substantial amount of senior games at club level (80 or more) despite having turned 22 in last Month.

Himself and Ian Lawlor look real prospects now. Will be interesting to see what happens both when they go back to their clubs (Aberdeen and Man City) at the end of the season. Rogers was linked with the English Championship during the season and, from what I've gathered, Lawlor has been impressing at Bury in League One.

Goals for Joe Mason, Quinn and McGoldrick in the championship too today.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Lawlor lost his place after Bury brought in Chris Neal from Port Vale.

Ugh. That's a pity. I see this Neal chap is 30 so he is much more experienced, but still..

Had a root on the Bury forum and couldn't come up with anything on this but knocked across a, generally, positive thread on John O'Sullivan: http://www.gigglane.com/showthread.p...ohn-O-Sullivan

Declan Rice won the Dylan Tombides Award at the West Ham end of season awards: http://www.whufc.com/News/Articles/2...he-Year-Awards
There was a special mention for the Academy as Mark Noble took to the stage to talk about his progression through the youth ranks while Academy Director Terry Westley was honoured to award the Dylan Tombides Award, sponsored by Barry Stewart & Sons to talented youngster Declan Rice.

Can't find the thread where his recent musings have been discussed but Scott Hogan scored another two goals today in a 5-1 win.
