    Foot in mouth disease

Following on from Troy mcClure's 'building a concrete base by
getting rid of the dead wood' in an earlier post, I thought I'd add Gunther's gem at the weekend. Speaking about the Longford game which both sides had to win he said it was " just like a cup final for both sides even though both sides have already been knocked out this season."I wonder what his team talks are like?!!

Anyone got any more collectables? I remember the Echo had to
apologise to a Cobh player with a toothache way back when
they reported he couldn't play as he had 'a mental problem' instead of a 'dental' one.

well the echo referred to Saturday's match as a 'proverbial six pointer' but AFAIK a six-pointer, be it proverbial or not, generally takes place between sides close together in the table not ones at opposite ends.
