Shaw not going to Rovers or Dundalk despite bids

I haven't heard anyone from Rovers say anything about this. It would be one of the more baffling signings we've made in quite a while, and believe me there's been a few of them.

We've done well selling strikers to England the past few years. I like Gary and I wouldn't begrudge him a move either to England or within LOI at the end of the season if it's a good opportunity for him. He won't be 24 until May so we should get a few €€ for him either way.

Good to see the club being strong in their stance.
Havent made it over for a Town match in a couple of years so the only time I've seen Shaw play was a few years ago for Bray but I thought he looked a great prospect then and i was surprised when he signed for us rather than a premier division team. I hope he does get a move to England, it will be the 3rd striker we've sold accross the water in a few years and makes us, with TC's coaching, an appealing place for ambitious strikers to come
Surely we will sign a defender or two before the window closes? Despite the signings of Kelly and Doherty it's been a disappointing transfer window.
Willie Tyrrell gone to Wexford. How many centre back options (good or bad as they may be depending on your view) have we let go now? Seems odd unless we're freeing up wages to bring in better options?

Think the anger on social media from Town fans this morning sums up your questions there. Good or bad options we have no options now until Flynn is back and by then we could have lost some season defining matches. My safe money would be on us signing a batch of the bray players released today and they clearly aren't up to anything. Poor poor management from Tony.
thats a shockin decision from TC to get rid of Tiddler. I know that he wasnt premier Division quality but he was a useful backup to have. plus he had always rapport with the section o lads! I wish him well. Wexford have got a good signing to aid in their promotion push. I hope that we get some more defenders before the end of this mth!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
I know this young lad Beirne who has been signed from the u19s is a defender but we need more than him. Maybe Willie wanted to go as he wasn't getting regular football and Tony didn't want to stand his way but that's Tom Morris, Conor Dunne and Willie all let go and only Beirne added if he's even a centre back.

Don't understand any of the outrage about Tyrell. Offered nothing.
Very strange decision so if nobody else is brought in. He's a limited player at Premier Division level but we're short of CBs as it is.

What's the odds he signs a couple of Bray's throw always from today, not good enough tony.
Well in fairness whoever leaves Bray may have left because they're not being paid rather than Bray not wanting them. I haven't been bothered to check who's gone.

Surprised this hasn't been posted but Havo is back with the Town. A welcome addition if he's fit.
