Adare 1-0 Old Mill
Ballysteen 1-1 St Ita's
Ita's could have won by 5 goals had they taken even half of their chances.
Adare 1-0 Old Mill
Newcastle Rovers 2-0 creeves
bally rovers 1-1 shauntrade
Ballysteen 1-1 St Ita's. Home side definitely the happier of the teams. Both had a player sent off for an off the ball incident.
Pallaskenry 8-1 abbey b. Good win for Pallas. Played some great ball apparently.

Anyone know all the results from the premier division games on Sunday?
Things we've learned from the first weekend (in my opinion):
1. Abbeyfeale will take some stopping this season - have improved since last season have won their first 2 games handily; could have beaten Kildimo by more; the team to beat.
2. Broadford have lost a few players since last season (a lot of young players in now) will struggle to challenge this season... on early evidence.
3. NCW Rovers have won their first 2 games but nearly let a 3 goal lead slip v 10 man Ballingarry (who were hammed by NCW on the Friday night); & have lost a few players since last season. will be there or there abouts but will probably fall short.
4. Newcastle West demolished Ballingarry in their first game of the season. Have made some very good signings & look best placed to challenge Abbeyfeale.
5. Rathkeale convincingly beaten by Abbeyfeale; seem to be in the same boat as Broadford will find it tough this season.
I know teams have played only 2 games (some only 1) but if teams don't have players in place now, it will be very hard to make up the ground (points) later on in the season.
The game between NCW Rovers & Newcastle West this weekend will tell a lot of how those teams will do this season.
I see NCW Rovers 'B' are down to play at 11.30 away to Ballysteen & there's no time for the NCW Rvs v NCW AFC game, 'twill hardly be at 2.30 will it?
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YA BEAUTY! What a hit son... what a hit!
Great post sexy football, agree with everything you said. I just noticed it there also after you said it about the Newcastle rovers vs newcastle west game. Usually B teams dont play same time as their A team in case the A team need some players from the B side. So maybe it will be half two because Ncw Rovers B and Ncw B are playing ar half 11
The Desmond league website is a total joke, still no results up,with the schoolboy league all results are up that evening.
Does anyone know the full results from the premier and Div 1
Rovers vs NCW AWAY
Rathkeale vs Ballingarry AWAY
Abbey vs Broadford HOME
Killeaney vs Broadford DRAW
Broadford must be fit if they are playing two games on sunday haha. Joking, how come you went against rovers, rathkeale and broadford? Have those teams gone back from last year? Have NCW moved on from their troubles last year? Are abbey still as strong as last year? Is Ray lynch back at broadford so since he scored against rovers the weekend?
The Broadford boys will be fit from the football all summer ha, meant Shannonside there! Rovers 3:1 against a Broadford side that has lost players and sexy football was spot on when he said they now have a young team. NCW have signed good players notably Shaka up front (former Broadford). I am sure himself and Quaid will score at least a goal each against a rovers defence that couldn't contain 10 men Ballingarry for almost 85 minutes.
Rathkeale are mostly B's and I would think it will take those players at least until October to get up to speed with the premier. Ballingarry were missing key players for both games last weekend and if they have them back I would think they should get past a Rathkeale side that is no where near the team they had in the first half of last season. Abbey had a fine pre season and have brought up some of the youth who also won the treble last year which will only add to the squad they had last year which makes every player fighting for a place. Early days yet but I can't see ANY team keeping up with them and the league will probably be over by January.
Lynch is his own rumour mill. One minute he is with Ballingarry, next Charleville and now back to Broadford. He scored the other night so one can only presume he is back (for now).
I do think the Newcastle Derby will be a good game but I think NCW after there demolition of Ballingarry last week should have them flying high and see past Rovers. The loss of Cussen and AJ for Rovers is a big negative for them if they want to keep up with Abbey.
Where is AJ O Connor playing? I thought he was staying with rovers? Were you at the ballingarry matches the weekend sportsfanatic? They must have been poor against NCW on friday conceding 6 goals or were NCW that good? I guess they were unluckly against rovers losing 3-2 and playing with 10 men for most of the game
He played last Thursday with Fairview. Wasn't at NCW game but heard NCW were very good especially Shaka and Quaid. It was 3:0 at half time. Own goal and two bad mistakes by Ballingarry defence, and 3:0 down at half time is pretty demoralising for any team to come back from.
Was at the Rovers game as I would make as many Rovers games as I can. Rovers were very lucky, thought Ballingarry controlled the entire game even with 10 men. They were 2:0 down at half time and to be honest should have been winning as rover had two chances and scored from them. Ballingarry should of had atleast 2 in the first half. They looked very fit and that's why they were in the game with only 10 men. Frank tipped them to be third this year and rovers to be second both teams would relish a win this Sunday.
Lets hope the Newcastle derby is good because those games are quite good.
Anyone know what Kildimos pitch is like? Usually terrible during the winter or when theres a bad forecast during a weekend?
I would expect ncw rovers to comfortably account for ncw on Sunday and then go on to push abbey very close this season. Quaid aside I couldn't see many of ncw players getting into the rovers team at the moment
I dont think NCW are not that bad the way youre making them out to be, as sportsfanatic mentioned that Rovers barely beat 10 men ballingarry 3-2 while NCW put 6 past ballingarry. You cant see many ncw players getting into the rovers team? Well you definitely are a rovers member then haha. I would have quite a few ncw players starting for rovers. If u combined both teams together, this is the team id pick
Ruddle, Shanahan, O keeffe, D Woods, Van M, S Stack, T Quaid, S Cronin, M Quilligan, S Joyce and that shaka guy
