    Kerry win 2015 Kennedy Cup

A Dylan Murphy first-half strike gives Kerry a 1-0 victory over the DDSL, and secures the Kingdom their first-ever title in the schoolboys' tournament. It'll surely provide a boost ahead of the U-17s foray into the underage League of Ireland set-up!

Great to see a team outside Dublin winning this great tournament and what a tense semi-final between Kerry and Limerick Desmond where it finished 11-10 in penalties after a 1 all draw,Kerry were solid throughout the tournament and there only goal that they let in throughtout the whole tournament was the one in that semi-final,great to see the country leagues closing the gap on the dublin leagues and goes to prove you don't have to join one of the dublin clubs to compete in football.

Out of curiosity was anyone down at this? There's a lot of criticism of schoolboy football and how teams are coached recently. Was there evidence of teams trying to play out from the back and using more technical players? Or was it more like the stereotype of pick the biggest and fittest lads available and use the physical advantages?

Wasn't there myself, but how that competition is still running is beyond me. Its the symbol of everything that's wrong with schoolboy football in this country.

Was at it,and to say its the symbol of everything that's wrong in schoolboy football is a total insult, every decent Irish player that has played senior soccer has come through this tournament, probably the best player all week was a small lad from Donegal, ddsl i thought were very poor for the pick they have and all the players going there fromm leinster and munster.

From the photos I've seen there were a good few big lads on every team so I'd say it had the usual input into how the teams were selected, and agreed it's nice to see someone else get a win for a change.
