WYW have indicated that they will be announcing two major signings prior to the Champions League draw.
Draw takes place on 25 June. 24 European teams are regarded as pre-qualified and are given byes to the last 32. Another 32 teams are drawn into 8 qualifying groups to take up the remaining 8 places. WYW are in the third ranking pot of eight teams and are ranked between the Slovakian champions and Benfica Women of Portugal. There are eight designated venues for these qualifying groups including Belfast.
The 8 group winners then join the 24 pre-qualified teams to comprise the 32 teams which go into the knockout phase.

WYW have announced the return of Linda Douglas who had signed for Peamount last season and Maria Delahunty who took a year out last season. A new signing is Emma Hansberry, an Ireland U19 player, who has signed from Castlebar.
WYW drawn against Polish, Lithuanian and Welsh opposition (Cardiff Met) in qualifying group. Group will be played in Poland.
WYW have confirmed the return of former player Clare Conlon from Raheny and a new signing in Ruth Fahy from Galway.
WYW now gone to Portugal for pre-season training. Serious effort being put in by this team.
Friendly result from this evening: Benfica Women 1, WYW 1. Both teams ranked as third tier teams for Champions League purposes.
WYW travel to Poland today. First game against Gintra of Lithuania on Tuesday.

That's a pity. They done really well to get two good wins on the board. Pity they couldn't have sneaked a draw in against Medyk.
