Could happen to any of the EL clubs that stretch to full time professionalism too quickly for their budget to catch up!
English League One club Wrexham were today placed into administration. The Welsh club, who are captained by Corkman Brian Carey, owe an estimated STG £800,000 in unpaid tax.
Owner Alex Hamilton has refused to accept a takeover bid fronted by former
chairman Mark Guterman.
After the High Court granted Wrexham their administration request, the club
will be deducted 10 points under recently introduced Football League rules.
Manager Denis Smith said: 'We've got to accept it and make it a challenge and see if we can get out of the problems.'
