Much as I love to see the scousers racking up the debt and the board in turmoil (especially Príck Parry), can any of the more informed doleites explain what the problem is with that Builder fella that wants to take over LFC? Is it purely personal, as the board seem to be chasing every other potential bidder rather than give him the reigns...
btw I think there was a thread on this in the past, around the time the Thai Lotto was taking over, but I'm really not interested enough to go searching to refresh my memory...

As far as I recall, it was something to do with the share value.
He wanted more shares to become available to the general public, and promised to put up for any ones that weren't sold.
Parry didn't want this because:
a) he valued the shares at alot less than Parry thought they were worth.
Their shares aren't traded on the open market, but just owned by the share holders, so could be potentially worth more than their actual value
b)because more shares were to be just made available, Parrys percentage stake would also drop.
It still doesn't seem any worse than the other take-over bids (dodgy thai lotto, hollywood consortium etc.)

So basically the current board just want to make a killing. Kinda what I thought, but wondered whether there was any other reason....
