R.i.p.
From Aertel p222 -
Former Cork Celtic soccer star Noel Ryan has died. He was the father of new St Patrick's Athletic goalkeeper Barry Ryan. Mr Ryan, from Ennis, Co Clare, excelled in both soccer and gaelic sports. He played hurling for the famous Eire Óg club and for his native county and also represented Cork in football.
In soccer, he played in Clare for St Michael's and for Janesboro in Limerick before heading for Turner's Cross toward the end of Cork Celtic's League of Ireland existence.
Never realised Bazza's dad played football, or that he played for Cork! Still, sad to hear...
