#NeverStopNotGivingUp
As said above the pitch was immaculate and Dundalk were still able to play long cross field passes with ease so the narrower pitch didn't effect them at all, if anything it effected us more.
We were abysmal in the first half tonight. Definitely didn't see 4 goals coming in the second half but great to see Billy getting 3 and Shepard scoring(appropriately the sky was red) we''ll take the 6 points this weekend anyway that's for sure but we really need to improve
What deafhuck was going on with us getting THREE red cards?
Three? I only saw two, reckless tackle for the first and handball in the box to block a shot for the second, ET says Thornton was sent off too, after the whistle maybe?
[QUOTE=patrickccfc;18183 but great to see Billy getting 3 [/QUOTE]
Remarkable recovery after his career threatening injury .....eh last week.
After seeing St Pats and Rovers play out a predictable no-score draw tonight, it's becoming more and more difficult to see any of the Dublin clubs mounting a serious title challenge.
Did you head down to the match in Richmond Ezeikial? That's a fair bit of mileage after Longford. It sounded like a drab affair.
Dundalk's odds have reduced to 1/2 after tonight. Cork are 11/2, Rovers 6/1, Pats 7/1.
That's mental odds with just under 6 months of matches still to play. Anything could happen.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
I happen to be in Dublin anyway - I found it an interesting match, even if the stalemate was entirely predictable
Pats at least tried to play a bit of football, even if they never really got going. Rovers were boring route one stuff, but made the better chances.
Neither side impressed me much
While Dundalk are unbackable at those odds, I just cant see a serious challenge from either of tonights teams.
It was a poor match alright, even if there was some quality in patches. Rovers are far too slow, especially in midfield. Miele's the only player with the pace and urgency to do things, him and Drennan. Pats need Fagan back as Kilduff just isn't in the same class.
