    Fahey to Bradford?

    http://www.eleven-a-side.com/premier...p?newsid=14909

St Patrick’s Athletic star Keith Fahey has joined Bradford City on a week’s trial – but Saints manager John McDonnell feels he would be making a mistake to swap Inchicore for the English Coca-Cola League One side.

The Irish under-21 international, who was named Saints player of the year earlier this month, is regarded as one of the hottest properties in the eircom League.

A former Arsenal and Aston Villa trainee, his career has taken a turn for the better since he opted to return home in 2003, and ambitious Drogheda United is one Irish club interested in his services.

However, he may opt to try his hand across the water once more, with Bradford boss Colin Todd set to run the rule over the 21-year-old, possibly in the Bantams’ reserve team match against Wigan Athletic on Tuesday afternoon.

But while he insists he will not stand in his player’s way, McDonnell feels that Bradford may not be the right move for the dead-ball specialist.

He told the Irish Daily Mirror: “I’m not going to stand in his way and risk alienating him. I’d love to see Keith do well in the game but at the same time I want him to stay here and be part of our plans. For me, going to Bradford City would not be moving on to greener pastures because they are in administration.”
    I certainly hope not.

Christ no. We need Fahey to stay in Inchicore. Hope his trial doesn't work out. One of best midfielders in the league

Where would Bradford get the money to buy him anyway? He'd surely cost at least €50k-100k unless there's a clause in his contract.

I take it you've never been to Bingley then, Conor. Apart from the eyesore that is the Bradford and Bingley BS HQ on the edge of town, the rest of it is pleasant enough. And the countryside surrounding it - it's on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, after all - is gorgeous.

You can keep the rest of the towns you mention, though. Each reminds me of Tralee on a dreary Tuesday.

Like the Dales alright, have stayed in Richmond on the other side which is lovely. York itself is a beautiful city too. And Leeds has its attractions like the Town Hall...and Harvey Nicks...

Now I know for certain that it is the close-season!

we definately need him to stay and build the team around him and clom foley. IMO bradford would be a step down. he is better than that. does jason gavin still play for them r has he moved.
