But it couldn't possibly be Noel O'Connor. According to today's Star we're bringing in a manager with lots of LOI experience. Noel has only two as a manager and two more as an assistant.

So I reckon it must be somebody who's actually acheived a lot - perhaps John Gill, Harry McCue, Jimmy McGeough or even Damien Richardson?

Or perhaps our new messiah isn't quite as ambitious as we thought?

Oh I dunno about Joe, the run to the play-offs last season impressed me. Ditto for the League Cup win the year we came last (just like this year).

Actually I think that's way off, especially as I'm the one who felt that the glass wasn't empty enough to be thrown out in the first place...

    Deffo not him

no it wont be him for deffo. i too would love to have John Gill as ive spoken to him on several occacions and hes totally cool and aproachable, but yea its NOC. I remember one time we were on a 13 game loseing streak under noel and one player in particular was having a mare in all of those 13 games and was never taken off, untill one day we saw his number comming out, the crowed got excited at the impending substitution being made, Noel heard the glee from the 50 or so that were there and changed his mind and left of the player in question on. Then there was the time that LIMSFAN went onto the pitch and told noel "this town isnt big enough for the both of us" now tht was priceless! We still lost 0-5 that was the year we finished last 3 years ago.

well I wasn't around for the Noel O'Connor days, but he sure sounds like he's the type of guy to steer us to mid table mediocrity if the stories about him in Pike this year are anything to go by. And I thought the new owners were ambitious
