I was expecting that Gaynor goal to be a lot better the way people were going on about it. Great strike obviously but was expecting the greatest goal ever scored.

So Dundalk v Longford will be on the Friday night and Bray v Cork on the Sunday.

Cork fans over-hyping? Surely not. The biggest club in Ireland, don't you know.

It was a great strike but there have been some great ones this season. Towell's volley against Galway is still the standout.

Good strike, but I thought the same, was expecting it to be a lot better, also thought the Wexford player (Dunne?) was possibly better considering the conditions were so much worse.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

That was the original plan but that Sunday has Liverppol/Everton (1.30), Man U/Arsenal (4.00) and rugby Ireland/Italy (16.45).
Madness to try and compete with all that.

    Absolutely.

Although we're not the self-proclaimed best team the league has seen in 20 years even though we got knocked out of Europe in the first round

Only media pundits are claiming that in our case. Dundalk fans are reticent about such comparisons.

From a neutrals point of view I think this Dundalk team is one of the best we've seen in years and has the potential to go on and be one of the great LOI teams. A real European run will help cement that and to be fair they weren't far away this year from one
