Liverpool
Everton
You can keep Bellamy at least Barton only hits blokes.
There is the risk of him upsetting things but the fight last week was about a player not putting in the effort in training so he gave him a few digs , He also had ago at the Lazy foreign players , So it seems to me that lazy players that don t work for the team annoy him . And at 5.5 mill a Bargain .I think Moyes can handle him and the work ethic at everton would suit Barton .
On Beattie I think we have given him a fair crack now and he hasn’t performed , his place was taken by 2 18 year olds this year who did more in one game than he did all year.. I think if they can get £3mill for him they should snap there hands off .
Preston want £10 mill for Nugent not a hope id pay that for him , considering AJ was 8.5

The League's regulations state that players on loan cannot turn out against their parent club.
However, one leading sports lawyer questioned the League's consistency over the Tevez and Howard cases, saying: "The rule states that someone who is not the player's registered club cannot materially influence that team's policies.
"It would seem to me that one club telling another they can't pick him is a potential breach.
"There may have been some difference in the severity of the offence but that doesn't mean United and Everton shouldn't have been charged," he added.

Dead right. It stinks.

I think Barton would be a great signing for Everton. I don't think he's good enough for the top level but more than good enough to be a main player for any team trying to reach that level.
I wouldn't touch Nugent for £10m btw. That's crazy money for a guy who hasn't played at the top level. Celtic have been linked with Beattie recently but I could only see that happening once Strachan gets rid of 1 or 2 of the strikers there at the moment.

I think a move to Scotland would do Beattie the power of good. He'd be a huge success there.

I don't know about that but I certainly think it will either make him or break him. A few goals to get the confidence flowing again and who knows. That said, I never thought he was top quality though so it could just be that he has had his purple patch and has been found out now.

UEFA qualification is a superb achievement when Everton's resources were considerably less than some other clubs who didn't feature in the race for Europe (Villa, Newcastle etc.) I think this years finished goes to show that the top four finish of the year before last was no flash in the pan and that Moyes is one of the best managers in the Premiership. A few good signings will see us challenge for the top four next year. Its going to be an interesting season next year with a stronger Everton and a Stronger Spurs pushing for membership of the Elite.

Nugent for £10mill i suppose they are claiming he is an england international with a 100% strike rate![]()
I think barton could sign , Pitty Sidwell is going to chelsea apparently .
I think that is a shocking decision. He must have very poor people around him giving him advice. He is going to spend all bar a few carling cup games warming then bench at best.
If he went to a club who finished in the uefa cup places, he would be guaranteed european football and a first team place also. A move to Newcastle or Villa would have even been better.
I really dont see any of the uefa cup teams breaking into the top 4 next season. They may close the gap. Liverpool's league form will improve (particularly our away form) without a doubt, ditto for Arsenal and Chelsea and Man u are simply to far advanced.
I actually have a feeling Arsenal could pose a very strong challenge next season. Wenger is a very shrewd customer and he build a very impressive football side at the moment.
One rumour i dont want to come true
From toffeepleb.com :
Carsley Wigan bound?
Midfielder Lee Carsley has undergone a medical at Wigan Athletic and looks set to join the Latics, becoming new manager Chris Hutchings' first signing since Paul Jewell departed last week. With the Irish international possibly exiting Goodison soon it increases further speculation that Manchester City's wantaway midfielder Joey Barton is set to join his boyhood club.
I hope there is no truth in this one , Carsley has been outstandign all season , Its a well known fact at goodison that Everton do well when carsley is fit . Fingers crossed its bull as i cant see him giving up playing in europe next season with everton to go to Wigan . He is on a free but has been offered a year extention on his contract .
Id prefere to sell Cahill rather than loose Lee .
The rumours in Liverpool are:
- Bellamy to Blackburn with Matt Derbyshire going the other way as part of the deal and a direct replacement for Fowler.
- Mark Gonzalez, Zenden, Fowler, Le Tallec and Hyypia will all be moved on.
- Sinama-Pongolle has already been sold to Rec de Huelva.
- Cisse will be on the market again but there are no suitors except Marseille with a cut-price bid.
- Possibility that either Xabi Alonso or Momo Sissoko will be allowed to leave, Alonso as possible bait for Samuel Eto'o.
- Harry Kewell will be retained.
- Already signed are Lucas Leiva (mid), Sebastian Leto (wing) and Andriy Voronin (Str).
Benitez's top targets are said to be:
Carlos Tevez (West Ham Utd)
Samuel Eto'o (Barca)
Amauri (Paleremo)
David Villa (Valencia)
----------------------------
Simao Sabrosa (Benfica)
Daniel Alves (Seville)
----------------------------
Micah Richards (Man City)
----------------------------
Nathan Porritt (Middlesboro)
Should be an interesting summer![]()
and
Gabriel and/or Diego Milito (Zaragoza)

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
The only signing I want is Carlos Tevez. I think he is sh1t hot and has finally settled in the PL. I want to win the PL more than anything next season and players coming in from abroad who are gonna take 3 months to settle in is not what we want. Forget about the rest.
Btw I was told today the Fowler is going to Rangers. It is going to be signed and sealed next season.
As for the Carsley going to Wigan, I was told that there is some truth in the rumour but he is nowhere near the medical stage. If Gollum offers him a new contract he will stay id imagine.
he has all ready been offered a new 1 year deal Wigan are offering him a 2 year deal with a large pay increase and everton are now gone back to restructure the 1 year extention to try and keep him .
I think who ever gets tevez will be lucky , i cant imagine Chelsea letting him go anywhere else in the prem . But he has given up learning english and is looking for a move to spain .
WOOHOOO!!
from toffeepleb.com
Midfielder Lee Carsley has put pen to paper and signed a new one year deal, keeping him at Everton. After undertaking a medical at Wigan Athletic last week it was expected that the Irish international would avail of a better deal on offer by the Latics. Instead, Carsley has opted to remain at Everton, delighted to sign the new deal: "I am absolutely delighted to be honest. I have had a fantastic time here and hopefully that can continue now." After missing out on the brief sojourn into Europe back in 2004, Carsley is delighted to be available for next season's European adventure, saying, "We have got the UEFA Cup to look forward to next season. The manager has got the right blend at the minute and that is important."

Good to see the Liverpool fans embarrassing themselves, the club and the premier league yet again.
Loads of ticket less fans rushed the barriers and got into the ground, then when it was full the cops had to stop people with genuine tickets getting in to avoid another disaster, and they have the cheek to turn around and give out about the cops![]()
I haven't been in here in a while but I'd like to give an unbiased view of what went on in Athens regarding tickets, fans, security etc..
Before you start bleating about so-called Liverpool 'fans' being solely responsible for what happened then consider a couple more factors. Yes, there was a minority scally element (17-20 yr olds) who were tanked up and who showed no regard for those with tickets, the memory of those who lost their lives in Hillsborough and also the authorities. They were always going to beg, borrow and (or)steal to get their way into the ground and there's no getting away from that fact. They brought shame on the club and could have been responsible for another unwanted sporting disaster.
The other factors which will get overlooked because of UEFA's smokescreen are those of security organisation around the ground, ticketing and stadium capacity. Immediately they have tried to cover their own mishaps by laying all blame at Liverpool's door. Yes, there were the pr!ckS already mentioned but if there had been more than one outer access point to the stadium chances are what happened wouldn't have occured. Fans were herded into one checkpoint which was no more than 10ft wide. Any sort of surge and the police weren't going to be ableto withstand it. Inside that there was acres upon acres of ground where all fans could have been let into to either watch the game on big sceens or mingle in a more relaxed fashion. Did they have big screens around the stadium? Not likely. That in itself would have eased things for those without tickets, but UEFA didn't see it necessary for whatever reason.
Once passed the first cattle pen of a checkpoint it was onto the final, more narrow ticket check. Here was even more of a joke as they were just tearing the tickets in different sizes and throwing stubs on the ground. I don't know what means they had for knowing how many people had entered or were yet to come in. Utterly incompetent and unsafe in anyones eyes.
That was the the security end of it but then there is the problem of forgeries and suits who were selling their all access passes to fans. How can UEFA cover the cracks on their own employees profiting from passes/tickets? They can't.
In all, blame can be shared on all sides but, to UEFA its a case of Liverpool 'fans' behaving the way all English fans do abroad. They themselves don't come out of this whiter than white.
P.S Its still great to experience a final on a European stage and I have a feeling it won't be the last with the future of the club firmly in good hands.
