As for you, you're just trolling.
No, he's justy pointing out how absolutely clueless you are when it comes to reading football Every fan goes through some period of doubt with a new manager, but you're just something else. You were blind to the subtle improvements Benitez was making and even worse still, you couldn't admit it when you were wrong.

What?? I fully stand by what I said.

I quote Bill Shankly's phrase regarding the title: "This is our bread and butter, and this is the one, that we want".

We finished third this year, and if we had a prolific striker available this season, the gap at the top may have ended up much less than 9 points. Until such time as we are league champions, I will constantly highlight weaknesses, and demand improvement from the players, and the club.

everton lead the chase for andy johnson !

they look set to break the transfer record wit a £7 mill bid , doesnt excite me at all , i know he will probibly get 15 to 20 goals and form a good partnership with his mate beattie who in turn should get about 15 goals aswell ,it still does nothing for me .

it also look s like its going to be hard to hold onto yobo if arsenal come looking at least cambell has started to play well again might hold off a bid for another year at least .but he needs to sign that contract only 1 year left .

No it wouldn't have as 9 points is actually misleading because Chelsea lost two games after winning the league, something which wouldn't have happened had they needed the points and fielded full strength teams. So it's more like 15 points behind.

A prolific striker would have made a difference, but we also have problems in the wide positions, especially wide right. We MUST sign a player in this position this season, otherwise forget about the title. Gerrard is wasted playing out there, and Cisse is not the answer either. I'd like to see us sign a striker (or 2), wide right midfielder, left back (for cover) and a creative link-player. That should do the trick on top of Gonzalez.

    My realistic choices:
Striker 1 - Dirk Kuyt / Dean Ashton
Striker 2 - Jermaine Defoe / Darren Bent
    Right Winger - Shaun Wright-Phillips / Jaoquin
Link Player - Ludovic Guily / Yossi Benayoun
Left Back - Fabio Aurelio / Frank Queudrue

    Out The Door:
Fernando Morientes - His legs are gone, not up to it.
Jerzey Dudek - A waste of money having him on the bench.
Djimi Traore - Not needed with Agger & Warnock better players, Paletta on way (sic).
Djibril Cisse - Is improving all the time, but too much work needed. Cash in while we can.
Anthony Le Tallec - Has probably moaned his way out of Anfield anyway.
Salif Diao - I'm angry just typing his name....
Is Bruno Cheyrou still our player? If so, sell him to Everton.

Aurelio is apparently in the bag, Pennant is being seriously considered and a bid has been put in for Daniel Alves. Word is they want Bent up front.

Well if they up the bid he'll go to Everton im in no doubt about that , but its a big if i think he is worth the 8.5 mill but not if its all our summer transfer budget .

But i think they have more , They may need to borrow on the back of this new tv money .

Id be happy with Johnson and Huth or Lescott along with keeping Yobo and artetta .

De Silva is finished his loan and will be joining in July , Howard as keeper , Vaughan ,VDM and carsley back from season long injuries . Neville & nuno settled .

Flog kilbane and Davies and ill be happy .

Adios Nando and good luck with the future!

Liverpool have this evening confirmed that striker Fernando Morientes has joined Valencia for an undisclosed fee.
The Spanish striker didn't manage to live up to his reputation during his sixteen months on Merseyside and managed just 12 goals in 61 games for the Reds.

He was left out of the Spanish squad for this summer's World Cup after failing to play a major role in the Liverpool first team last season.

Everybody at Liverpool FC would like to wish Nando all the best with his new club in Spain.

You are very optimistic Anto. Wish I was like you in that way !

VDM I can't see staying with Everton to be honest. Vaughan well we have to wait see how is knee turns out so wouldn't look too deep into him at the moment.
De Silva well we have to wait see about him.

Im not worried about Vaughan or De Silva ive seen both them play and both are well able for it as long as his injury doesnt hamper him and de silva settles , merseyside is a lot different from brazil .

i dont think VDM will move there was talks about him beinn sold for 1 mill but considering he was one of our best players last year even after only playing about 7 or 8 games we need talent like that . Fingers crossed on that one anyway but he is allways on the **** which doesnt help when your injury prone or when you take ****head beattie out with you .

AJ to in the bag for 8.5 and now moyes is moving to land Huth who is unhappy at chelsea .

all credit to moyes he has learnt his lesson from dittering last year and not having players in and settled , he knows who he wants this time and is getting them in before the team heads to the USA .

Everton to hijack Wigan Huth move

Huth has struggled for first-team football at Chelsea
Everton are set to beat Wigan to the signing of Chelsea defender Robert Huth, BBC Sport understands.
The Toffees - who are also going to pip the Latics to the signing of Crystal Palace striker Andy Johnson - will have a £5.5m bid accepted by Chelsea.

And the Goodison Park club are confident Huth will choose them ahead of Wigan, just as Johnson has.

Centre-back Huth, 21, is currently with the German national team in Geneva preparing for the World Cup.

He has said previously that he will have showdown talks with boss Jose Mourinho about his lack of first-team action.

"I've not heard about Wigan's interest. All I know is that I am not happy at the moment. After the World Cup I will speak to Jose Mourinho," he said.

He added: "Even a transfer to the Bundesliga is a possibility. It's all open. Nothing has been decided yet."

However, it is understood Everton are now in pole position to land the player.

How much of your big fat budget has that eaten into I wonder?

Rafa looks to be weighing up his options before delving into the market for a striker and its probably the best policy with the WC on the way. Hopefully Cisse can keep his mouth shut for a while and concentrate on performing in the cameo roles he'll (just about) get for France, and earn the club a few quid from his sale.

4tothefloor has provided a good summary on potential signings but one forward option that can't be ruled out is Bellamy. No Blackburn official has denied this 6million clause that he can be sold if a CL club makes an offer of that amount. We all know his reputation goes before him, but if he's as good as what he claims to be he'll be on an equal footing at Liverpool with a class of players he won't have played with before.

Kuyt is another who is being pursued strongly and there's a good chance he could find his way to Anfield next season regardless of his WC form. Be nice to see him have a stinker and keep his price at a reasonable level!

A new dawn will emerge at Liverpool if Rafa can pull off the masterstroke of signing two Brazilian full-backs. Daniel Alves is 50/50 and Aurelio looks in the bag. It could give the Reds a dimension they've never had before in an attacking sense, and could draw comparisons to Barca's full-back policy of using Belletti/Sylvinho for lesser league games and Oleguer/Gio for more cagey CL affairs.

Wide right is the big conundrum. Daniel Alves could double up there, and with Rafa liking versatile players he may not want to dip in for an orthodox winger. The options are limited and would Kopites want someone of Pennants ilk at the club? SWP would be the ideal but no deal would ever be struck between Liverpool and Chelsea in the current climate of things. I still think someone will crop up from Spain that we are unaware of as yet. We'll take Joaquin either if there's nothing else!

About 8.5 mill into it id guess

Another 5 or 6 now on a defender probibly Huth and that will be it for the summer unless a few Free's or loans can be sorted out .

Its though for teams that dont have a mega rich owner to keep trowing endless supply's of money at the team the way liverpool and chelsea have .

How far behind the Mores is Abramovich ? .......

oh hang on wait i forgot your a liverpool fan so there is different ways to view things as a liverpool fan ........ Liverpool dont play long balls like other teams they play long passes ...........and there mega bucks owner doesnt buy titles like chelsea's he invests in the club ........ right i think ive got it now

You'd want to check your information before spouting rubbish like this. Moores has a personal fortune which is a small fraction of what the Russian has. He has dipped his hand into that pocket less than a handful of times when it came to player purchases.
