    Liverpool FC

At the mo, I'm draped across the couch, can of heino in hand, packet of Walkers Prawn Cocktail, and lap-top resting rather precariously, watching Liverpool crashing out of the Champions League, 1-1 (15mins left). She-Devil at work, more heino in fridge...........does it get any better than this????

Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha! You plonker! Wipe that egg off your face I was on the couch as well, but I ended up on cloud nine.

I hope every Man Ure fan enjoyed that Gerrard special. What will we be like when we actually get our full side back and sign some decent players?

Tonight will yer final game in the Champions League so enjoy it!
I'd dump that crystal ball of yours, it's not working bud. It's giving you crazy kamikazee predictions of Evertons future i.e. finishing above Liverpool , while it has also left you down tonight, after we progressed to the Q\Finals of the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (thats the competition that Everton have never qualified for, and never will, just in case you're wondering).

    Altogether now.......

Last 16, don't get ahead of yerselves, looking at the potential opponents, it'll be tricky for ye to go further, ye're not 66/1 for nothing
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

Eh,no that was the year before last I think yet another game where ye came to anfield hoping for a point and defending as if yer lives depended on it,i'm talking about last season when ye were battered senseless for ninety minutes, the everton goalie got man of the match i'm sure. When was the last time everton beat liverpool Dillo,I asked ya all ready was it about 9 or 10 games ago?

Anyway everton might win saturday but they are still sh!t and the pool will finish miles ahead as usual.

You príck - I hold you fully responsible. At least they'll be convinced that Gerrard actually wants to stay with them now...

Gerrard shouldn't have even been on the pitch to score. His 2 tackles were a disgrace

    Which one?
Where he went over the ball near the sideline and could have broken the guys leg or when he overran the ball and decided karate kicking someone in the thigh was justified

The better team won, no doubt about that, Kewell actually looked OK, Sinama and Finnan were excellent, but Gerrard shouldn't have been on the pitch to score the third.
He's a petulant idiot and probably has the highest wage to IQ ratio in the world.

Gerard is world class - with a nasty streak. What really got to me last night was Dumphy ranting on about how Gerard had to mature. I mean what about Roy keane - he's ended the odd career with a tackle here and there - sounded almost incredibly hypocritical.

Liverpool well deserved thier win last night and Benitez did a tremendous job on the line - showed more tactical nous on the sideline last night then Houiller did in his entire career. Unfortunately that's as far as they will go on the evidence of the competition so far.

Name the players. Haaland tried to blame/sue Keane, but the medical evidence said it was nothing to do with the "take that, you untc" tackle.....

Ah y'know what i mean Keane always had a nasty streak and Dumphy was talking sh1te. Was being too literal there. i know he never did.

I only go on the evidence i see as well - and Gerard has dragged Liverpool from the medicore time and time again. He has been a one man show for Liverpool at times - he had a fine game against Arsenal last week and as well as grafting in midfield can score goals and get crosses in as well. An all round player and a world class one at that.

I will concede that he had a fine game against Germany in qualifiers many years back, and he may also be very good against teams like Southampton, Charlton, Portsmouth...must be the challenge of playing all their 'world class' players too...
I form my opinions too on what I see, and I've seen him in the flesh many times, as well as on your patronising Sky Sports jibe.

He carries that team and drives them forward Conor and if you think he's not world class then that's your opinion but believe me, you are are a huge minority.

The fact he could take his pick of any team in the world that could afford him if he becomes available say's it all really.

No doubting Gerrads ability, but can you really say a guy is 'world-class' when he has yet to really shine on the big stage?

He was very mediocre in Euro 2004, when faced with real class opposition. He played well last night, but certainly not as good as what people will have you think.
