Z Cars theme tune will be played tonight at Anfield in honour of 11-year-old Rhys prior to tonight's Champions League clash with Toulouse.

This has been agreed as an appropriate gesture with the family of the youngster.

just wondering why you are calling those wearing GAA jerseys 'disrespectful idiots'????

what makes them any different than those who go abroad every second week to support a team to whom their is no logical connection?

I dont understand the first bit about it being disrespectfull but the rest makes sense , it would be like wearing a chelsea jersey to a cork v kerry match

I can see why you say that but I can assure you that the club have been very careful on this one. Everything was double checked will all parties.

still need a player with some class in the centre of the park , which is why i think Arteta should be in the middle .

Good to have the Yak on board. We're linked with Stephen Appaih today, it's going to take a signing of that class to make me forget about fernandes :-(

Yakubu has a pretty impressive goalscoring record in the Premiership. Second best over the last four seasons after Thierry Henry. Not bad for someone who played at Portsmouth, who struggled at the time, and Boro.

I think you're being a bit harsh there - it was their first home game since the little boy was killed.

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

what started off on bluekipper forums as a joke rumour and has kept its legs now just might come true but with our dissapointments over classy midfielders i wont believ it untill i see him on the pitch .

6-0. Dont read too much into it. Derby were without doubt the poorest PL side I have ever seen play. Everton pull off a win, "jammy" was how it was described to me but I didnt see the game so I cannot comment.

Big game this weekend Carsley is going to be shattered after chasing around for ireland , Tommy grav is out for 3 weeks cahill still out so we will be light in the middle and Howard disslocated his finger . i think we will line up like this

Howard ( if he can play )

    Hibbert yobo lescott Baines
    Artetta Neville Jags Piennar
    AJ YAK

Allthough Mcfadden is in great form scored 2 for scotland in last 2 games and 1 for us in 2 games , he has to be pushing for a place .

Id like to see Neville pushed to right back Artetta pushed into the middle and osman on the right or maybe even push AJ out right and give Faddy his start .

Hard game great if we got something out of it but i think Utd will be too strong

Tough game for the blue half alright but if they continue their pre-international break form and prevent Neville from handing the mancs a silly goal or 2, then they will most definitely get something from the game.

The mighty reds are off down to Pompey for an early kick-off. Fratten Park is the kind of ground where we have struggled in the past but on current form we should grind out a result, 1-2 win is my call.

Was annoyed when I saw Rafa's team selection. Considering the league is the "top priority", leaving Gerrard and Torres on the bench in what is a difficult and traditionally difficult in our case, on the bench was very frustrating.

I know all about resting players etc but it's September ffs. There will be easier games to rest players in.
