If it was one bad decision, you could. But this is the third time in 3 weeks, after another pen was given at Feyenoord for our defender heading the ball out for a corner.

    Ref's standards are slipping.

No all that is happening is liverpool are getting the same treatment all the other clubs have to put up with last year everton had 13 penalty's turned down , of which Kieth Hackett said 10 should have been given and no one got banned or even repremanded .

Yet liverpool have one dodgy peno go against them and the poor ref gets banned for a week and still pool fans are moaning, get over it what difference will it make anyway , just be glad you took a point of chelsea and get on with it

You're talking about a friendly here, wait until a bad refereeing decision costs you a place in the Champions League group stages and come back to me.

I don't recall many Liverpool fans complaining last week after Gerrard had "won" a free kick against Villa

To quote your good self, "Get over it, it's one bad decision". It was thanks to us that UEFA allowed you to play in the tournament that season.

oh if that was true, ask the referee's chief Keith Hackett who said that we were entitled to 8 (i think) penalties last season that were turned down while the media decided to try and paint AJ as some sort of diver.

And it wasn't UEFA that allowed us to compete, we finished 4th and qualified. The rules were bent to allow the team that finished 5th that season to enter the competition.

I don't think the issue would have been heard of again, if he hadn't scored, somehow.

And yes, it was a free-kick, btw.

Same as I don't think Liverpool would be that bothered about the penalty if Lampard had missed and they had won 1-0???

The penalty issue was raised immmediately by the media and the football powers. If the penalty was saved, the awarding of it would still have to be questioned because it was a ridiculous decision.

Dont get me started on AJ, 8 penalities yeah right. His blatant dives were there for all to see.

That's total crap, name one penalty last season that AJ dived to win? Cos i name at least 5 off the top of my head that he should have had but didn't. Even the referee's chief Keith Hackett said the same when he came out and publicly said that everton and AJ in particular had been hard done by in 8 (i think) penalty incidents

BBC Gossip Column says the Brummies are on the verge of signing Jan Koller. I think that he would be the ideal partner for AJ, better in fact than Yakubu. Hes older now but 2 years would be a good deal. Anyone agree?
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

You are better off not getting into it with them AJ gets fouled yet they call him a diver , Gerrard dives and they say there was Intent Gerrard jumps into a player its a body check , chelsea guy does it he is cheating ( even though he didnt look for a peno ) .

Come on these are the same people that think that liverpool are tittle contenders thats the mentality your dealing with .

Well, that tends to happen at clubs that actually win trophies.

How many did you win last year?

Benitez must be getting worried, about exhausting his moans and excuses about a lack of funds, he had to come up with something different i suppose

This caught my attention what is he talking about it was easy for utd its been the longest drawn out transfer ive can remember

“Then I want to ask the Premier League why it was so so difficult for Liverpool to sign Javier Mascherano, when we had to wait a long time for the paperwork, but it was so easy for Carlos Tevez to join Manchester United?

Doesn't mention the rules being bent (yet again) for Mascherano to complete his deal after the transfer deadline. As for the Tevez comparasion, what planet is he on??!?!?

What's worse is that Liverpool fans actually believe this!! Just wait until the weekend and see how many are complaing about the way their fixtures are!!!

Dont make me laugh! We lost the CL final the biggest cup final in world football. Tell me when is the last time Everton actually made it to a cup final? I wont even ask about European football. We all know about your pathetic record in Europe.

What are you going on about regarding our fixtures? We are well used to playing midweek and weekends.
