BBC Radio Ulster have produced a documentary on Jimmy Hasty, one of the finest players to have played in the League Of Ireland.
Jimmy was a striker who played despite having only one arm, scored over a hundred league goals for Dundalk in the 60's. His natural talent was such that George Best said he could do things with a tennis ball that George couldn't do with a full size ball.
Jimmy Hasty was murdered by loyalists in 1974.

The short video footage on that BBC website is fascinating.
Had never heard it before, super find and very enjoyable - thank you!
That was was sweet, first time to see it. Had read a lot about him, and remember him being killed.
...Schwanholz, Herisau: a little bit of heaven...
Had the pleasure of seeing him play. His ball control was terrific and he was totally fearless.
Listened to it today, very interesting.
