A lot of chatter today on various British sites (e.g. Football League World, The News (Portsmouth), The Bolton News) about interest in Sadlier (27), on the basis of his performances in the EFL Cup. Sadlier scored 9 goals in 45 appearances for Bolton, but Ian Evatt's disinclination to use wide forwards limited his involvement. However, "There was absolutely no problem at all with Sads, he was ever the professional and in terms of the data he was always one of the best every day, his effort was outstanding." (Evatt). So Bolton cancelled the last 9 months of Sadlier's contract, which allowed him to move as a free agent to Wycombe Wanderers.
