Signed permanently until season's end having been released by West Ham.
Apologies if he has his own thread/this has already been posted.
Kieran Sadlier is on loan at SPL club St Mirren and starts against Celtic this evening.
Signed permanently until season's end having been released by West Ham.
Pronounced Sad-lee-yay by the way...
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Must be a Huguenot name.
signed for Peterborough United this afternoon: http://www.theposh.com/news/article/...r-2559062.aspx
Not necessarily - after all, Derrick Williams and Samir Carruthers dropped down to ambitious League One clubs and could well be in a position to be considered for international call-ups this time next year now that Bristol City and MK Dons have been promoted to The Championship. Ideally, of course, you would love to see young Irish players break into the first team at their Premier League clubs but it's becoming more apparent that if they aren't out-and-out stars, then it's better to get their careers established at a lower level than get stuck in the reserves and live off loan moves and the odd League Cup/Europa League/Pre-season friendly appearance.
Nothing makes me sadlier than his career careening off a cliff.
No Somos muchos pero estamos locos.
An in-depth piece on Sadlier settling into life at Sligo Rovers and his aspirations for club and country: http://www.the42.ie/kieran-sadlier-s...71192-May2017/
I know Sean Maguire has been getting all the attention in the League of Ireland at the moment in terms of who's likely to get a move to England, but Sadlier's record over the last season and a bit has also been impressive, with fifteen goals since he started playing from Sligo a little over a year ago. I live in Canada so I can only highlights and stats - do you lads think Sadlier has a decent shot of making it at a higher level?
I've seen him playing on the left side against Galway United a few times. I wouldn't be putting him in the Chris Forrester & Daryl Horgan bracket.
Seen him against Bray and thought he was excellent, the one player Sligo have that can turn on some magic. He is kind of wasted at Sligo for sure.......imho
Signed for Doncaster Rovers.

In the playoff spots in League 1, not a bad move hopefully.
Scored a worldie last night in the EFL Cup (0:20)
Sadlier was taken off at half time after his goal and Rotherham went on to win the game 3-2.
Trevor Clarke scored the winner for Rotherham in the game as well.
Ian Lawlor and Shane Blaney played the 90 for Doncaster too.

Stephen McLaughlin sent off for Southend.
Joe Shaughnessy and Simon Cox played the 90 for Southend.
Ian Lawlor and Shane Blaney on the bench for Doncaster.

Has really settled in at Doncaster this season, it appears. Grabbed a brace tonight against Southend to bring his tally for the season to ten league goals: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51185431
