loan at Carlisle ended during the week, and he's gone on loan again to Portsmouth, to replace no less than David Connolly: http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/a...n-1373325.aspx

He looks like... someone with a sense of humour above that of a 7 year old child.

He actually looks a bit like David Connolly... after a red card in a World Cup playoff game obviously...
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Unfortunately he had a bit of an accident when he mistook a large tube of super-glue for hair gel
but is expect to be playing again when his hair grows long enough to be cut.

Scientist are still trying to figure out how to get the shirt he has been wearing since the incident off
without tearing it, and have calling in a contortionist to assist.

Why is he wearing a Croatia jersey under his Villa kit? I demand reasons!
Also, could one of the mods correct the spelling of his name in the thread title?

Looks a shrewd decision from Aston Villa to send him down another division. If he can get his scoring boots on there, he could be ready for League One next season.

Isn't Meyler's dad Wexford hurling manager? I expect he's handy enough.

That dirty divil Liam Dunne is over Wexford this weather. Meyler is in charge of a (by the looks of things) a handy enough Carlow side. A Carlow club team will also contest the AI Club Hurling Final in a few weeks.

Meyler played with Blackrock in Cork, on the same teams as Simon Zebo. Not sure how good he was. Apparently John Egan from Sunderland was absolutely prodigious as an under-age gaelic footballer. Won games single-handedly.

Didn't Stephen Hunt say that he would like to play Hurling/GAA after he retires from football?

First half double to put Portsmouth 2-0 up at Dagenham. Could be a big result for them - a win will put them seven points clear of relegation with four to play.

First goal has been credited to someone else now.

Ouch, he's just got another one so it would have been a hat-trick. Hopefully he can still finish!
