    Limerick FC

Right lads, we have to come home with at least a point from this game so I'm expecting TC to go with 2 up front.

Team to start (if I was TC!) - Hunt, Pat Sullivan, Flynn, Tyrell, Powell, Shannon, Rice, Salmon, Cowan, Davy O'Sullivan, Shaw.

Just think a game like this could do with Pat's experience over Jamie's youth. KOC misses out cos he lacks the pace for the wing but it's a toss up between him and Salmo. Like Outspoken said I don't think Tyrell has done much wrong to be honest. I actually think CB suits him better than LB.

    If if we go 2 up top I think we'll get a 2-1 win.....hopefully!

I'd be amazed if Limerick score a goal, they're far worse than you think! I'll be happy as long as we get any sort of win obviously, but 2/3-0 is what we should be aiming for.

I actually prefer Tyrell at left back even though he never played there until he signed for us 😂 but Id actually like to see Morris start this game if Pat Sull isn't going to play CB as he could offer a real goal threat from set pieces. If you offered me a point now I probably wouldnt take it but we need at least 4 points from the next 2 games.

I appreciate that you're the only one who's seen them Acornvilla but I'm always reluctant to write off a team this early in a season no matter what their results. They'll be targeting us as a game to get something from too. Any kind of win will be great.

The likes of Vinny Faherty and Paul O'Conor will be attacking threats for them so I wouldn't write them off at all. The thing that has disappointed me more than anything so far this season is the small support numbers we've had than I expected, atmosphere has been crap too. With all the problems going on at Limerick we need to get down to jackman and make it a home game for the lads.

Sorry to put a downer on it for ye lads but ye'll get a point at best out of Limerick on Saturday. Fair enough Limerick were stuffed down in Cork but the 2nd goal was never a penalty and the sending off was scandalous. Player for player you lot are as weak as Limerick/Bray/Galway and ye will get several thumpings this season make no mistake about that especially with Cousins still in charge. From what I can Longford still have a first division squad!

We've played the champions and favourites in our first two games and didn't get thumped! Keep dreaming lad!

A long season for us to hand out a few thumpings. And I'm not your friend

Train/bus station car park is 5 min walk away if you can't find anything on the actual street (which is iffy prospect).

Limerick missing the only lad that has played anywhere near a prem standard player in their 2 games. if I was ye I would be very upset if ye didn't beat em handy enough.

Its LOI and you never know but if ye are anyway useful I can't see Limerick lifting their game enough to cause any real bother.

the back four imo should be between deady/tyrrell left back then flynn,sullivan,jamie... powell was awful going forward v rovers, lost count of how many bad passes he made putting us under pressure plus jamie looked in good shape!

deady is a far better left back than a winger, he looked lost v rovers! think it was v drogs he played left back and was my motm, would like to see him get another chance there
I think Smithers picked me because of my motivational skills.
Everyone says they have to work a lot harder when I'm around.

People saying we had a Premeir squad all of last season now saying we are a first division squad, don't make me laugh. Our squad is stronger man for man than the likes of Bray and Drogheda but in terms of playing at this level yes we are still adapting and it will take time but to say our squad is as weak as Galway's considering we were over 8 points better than them last season and they've lost their best player really is laughable

I wouldn't be slagging off Galway or anyone else, I'm far more concerned with Limerick having signed back Jason Hughes, from what I've heard and read he will give our midfield plenty to think about

I'm lead to believe he's a pretty good midfielder played for Athlone for a while but went back to Limerick, I suppose we will see on Saturday night

A very hard working midfielder, will look like a great player in comparison to what he's playing with, but will by no means be able to get Limerick a result on his own.

If Jason Hughes is getting people excited your in trouble. I wasn't slagging of bray or Limerick or Galway but to say their squads are stronger than ours is laughable
