Ah poor old Keith. Fabulous player, but his future is not in punditry I fear.

(Then again the questions from Peter Collins did just invite bland answers)

Bland just sums Peter Collins up in general the chap is about as exciting as a bowl of gruel for dinner.

Collins threw in a nice one the other night. Fahey was talking about having no regrets and that he had played in the biggest league in the world. Collins then says ' and you played in the Premier league too'.

I noticed that myself but I took it that Collins had that line in the script and wasn't able to improvise when Fahey said it first.

Collins has the personality of a kitchen table. I doubt he even likes football to be honest

He reminds me of a football reporter in Galway who clearly has no interest in the game when he's not being paid to be interested in it.

He has always been professional but it is clear he is not really into Sports at all. Few of them like that in RTE. Con Murphy leaving was a loss for the show.

If anyone disputes John Kenny being one of the worst commentators in world football, he described Keith Treacys goal for Drogheda v Cork as 'his first goal for Drogheda'.

I watched our game v Rovers back on Sat and Ger Canning came out with a belter at the end 'And look at all those Dundalk fans glued to their transistor radios'

This is a regular on Soccer Republic to be fair, every week at least 2 or 3 glaring mistakes by commentators when the game highlights are on

Stephen O Donnell did well I think on soccer republic last night. A talented player who was let go by Bohs and Shamrock R during his time in the league of Ireland. Hard to believe that he even spend a season with a S�an Connor managed Galway Utd, where it was clear to any regular at Terryland that he should really be with a club challenging for trophies instead.

Its only ever been injuries that have held him back but as you say, league winner with 3 different clubs so clearly rated by many

Canning is awful to listen to. Made my ears hurt the other night to hear him talking about "Dandork"
