The gulf between Junior Football and LOI really is huge. We made 8 changes from team against Cork and finished the game with a lot of young lads on the pitch.
Well they're a representative side so you'd expect them to be rubbish. Crumlin and UCC did alright tonight. Still, there's a big gap all things considered.

Cobh win 3-2 in extra time, goals by Goldsmith and Rocks for Ramblers, O'Conor for Limerick. All decided in first half of ET.

4 wins from 6 games for teams of a lesser league to their opponents. That's a pretty impressive stat, League Cup or not.

Video of Ryan Goldsmith's goal for Ramblers yesterday against Limerick in EA Sports Cup. Not bad for your first senior goal! http://youtu.be/yOk8KwcEovI

Watch out Ramblers - the Longford pitch police are on your case.

Order a load of green coloured pellets and get in a wide selection of crisps - its your only hope now

Ezeikial, you seem to be one of the easily wound up Dundalk fans! How's that plastic car park at Oriel Park since last Friday?!! Great spot for a game of ball!

Agree with Outspoken, our pitch has been in top nick the past couple of seasons but this pre season it has been crap. Hopefully the opening of the second pitch soon will take the underage games off the main pitch. At least the Town fans don't wear blinkers and admit when our pitch is ****!! Unlike some Lilywhite supporters on here.

At the risk of being labelled pedantic.

Crumlin United are not a Junior club, they are an Intermediate club. Probably the same with UCC................|

I don't think it really matters which they're called - it just means they're signed up to a different league system.
