ET estimating 4500. Mind you they love that figure for some reason...

Yeah, it's not that. 4500 is a handy estimate as it's 3/4 of the capacity. There was **** all left in the east stand, just a couple hundred on the ends, and the main stand was packed apart from the cordoned-off area.

By all accounts it was a big crowd. Shame Rovers don't give out official attendances anymore. Good opportunity to do a bit of marketing off the back of a 'Big Dublin Derby'.

Big enough crowd for the Bohs fans to be kept back for 25 minutes, unusually ott from the Tallaght Gardai.
4,500 looked about right.Bohs allocation was 800, lots of people standing in aisles etc, 750 at a guess.

They gave ET an official figure for the opening game but that's it. I don't know why they can't give out an official figure - presumably they stopped when the attendances started tanking under Kenny and Croly.

It was the first game in Tallaght between the teams since that ridiculous BBC hooligan documentary. Gards will never miss an opportunity for a big day out either.

Looked like slightly less at Rovers Bohs than was at Rovers Pats in week one - very little in it I reckon

No, there was definitely more. Bohs brought more fans, which is a credit to them as they usually get lost on the way to Tallaght (no direct bus).

Now now Charlie. We both know many Rovers fans got lost every second Friday on their way to Tolka. Must have been the same lack of a direct bus.

Shouldn't you be off in the Dundalk pitch thread, trying to convince us all that it's a quality surface and we are all just bitter.

I got the St Kevins bus via Gledalough
Impressive public transport network in Wicklow.

From my viewpoint in the old stand. I'd say 80... and that's being generous. Fairplay though, they made plenty of noise.

Naw I have to check in to other threads now and again to see how big club fans are getting on. Bitter over a pitch I doubt it but I might be bitter over some german bank debts!

just like the diesal ,in dundalks hands the debt changes from swiss(?) to german.

frustrating game at Tallaght. bohs came for a draw and got it.
    I dont know why
    (a) North didnt come on earlier in the game &
    (b) Mcfrail was playing

We need goals or it will take longer than necessary to get to the summit when it goes ti ts up for dundalk.
which it will-just the same as sligo 2 years ago..

Rovers look solid and will lose few games this season , but a bit of sharpness up front wouldnt do amiss

Ah probably 100 there as a lot would have been how should I put it ''more experienced'' fans who sat for the entire game with around 50 from Section O creating one hell of a noise up the back of the stand. Not as large as the crowd we brought to the first game of last season which was around 150 but not bad either considering our size. Bohemains swua should see a good away following in a few weeks time once pats don't tonk us before then.

Schoolboy error but I was being flippant anyway. Feels like all debts lead to Germany these days!

Just like the Diesel in Dundalk you are simply hoping your team is the real deal no matter how confident you try to be.

Fenlon has returned the arrogance to Rovers anyway.

Sligo in 2013 were built on Edling and his goals. Dundalk's strengths are much broader and stable.

    Chalk and cheese.
