No, he actualy stated in the paper that he has thought about moving home, and cited the cases of Alan Moore and Gareth Farrelly. Though, I wouldn’t use Farrelly as an enticement to come home. He's from north county Dublin, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him signing for the Drogs.Originally Posted by Peadar

He shoud have a few more seasons left in him.
Don't think he'd make a huge impact on the eL but his experience does count for something.

Curtis Fleming has been released by Darlington, along with Keith Gilroy. Curtis always said he wanted to finish his career in Ireland. Wonder if there are any takers.
Nice to see Thomas Butler has found a bit of form at Hartelepool. He set up one of the goals in the 2-2 draw with Bournmouth and is now in the play-offs over the weekend. His career was going nowhere.

According to the rock solid sources at The Sun Steven McPhail is paking it in at Barnsley and wants to play in the Championship...
No shock there, Hart was his mentor at Leeds, took him on loan at Forest and bought him at Barnsley. Once he was sacked McPhail was always going to leave.Originally Posted by dr_peepee

I seen McPhail playing against Luton, whom they surprisingly beat, and he had a great game. I think he is not athletic enough for English football, but IMO I think he could have had a career on the continent, where the game is played at a slower pace.

McPhail: all the skill in the world but no physical presence whatsoever.
I've said that for years, when he was younger he should have gone abroad, he could have made a decent career out of it.Originally Posted by drummerboy
He has/had all the talent in the world. With more luck with injuries and more intelligence and commitment he would be first chocie in the Irish team right now imo.Nice to see Thomas Butler has found a bit of form at Hartelepool. Richie Partridge has been released btwI reckon he'll sign for Coventry.

I don't really share your optimism that he'll find a premiership or top championship club though. He undoubtabley has talent but will people be prepared to take a risk? His injury record and age will both count against him big time, I think he'd be better off going to Coventry, who would surely be interested, putting in another season like his loan season and then trying to sign for a bigger club.
I couldn't care where he goes, at least he'll be playing first team football (avoiding injury).
Well hopefully, as I've said on boards, I wouldn't mind if Shels put in a cheeky bid for himHe could undoubtabley be a huge asset in Europe and coming home and getting a consistent run in a team can only help him, espically if we go a few rounds in Europe and he can prove himself against quality oppositon, but I'd be suprised if he didn't goto Coventry, they'll surely be trying very hard to sign him after the loan deal of a few seasons back.
to the st pats fan whos come up with an interesting thread. the irish times every monday gives a full update on all players playing in england, scotland. its well worth it. tells you games played, subs goals , yellow ,red cards. etc.to my st patricks friends your e back down to the rsc in the cup, blues on top again. blues boy wicklow![]()
