    FAI Irish Daily Mail Cup

It's a bit of a tongue twister. Also, a bit of a downgrade from Ford sponsorship.
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.

I could have sworn I read something towards the end of the season, that Ford had renewed their sponsorship of the Cup. Maybe I read wrong.

The deal runs until 2017, no word on how much it's worth.
Pretty scummy sponsor to have though, unfortunately.

Possibly a silly question to ask, but does the sponsorship money go specifically to the clubs playing in the Cup, or just into the central FAI pot?

As long as they continue including pics of hot female celebrities in their articles for the flimsiest of reasons I'm all for it.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

Hopefully Wexford Youths get to the cup final so we can have a "Hurrah for the Blackshirts" headline

This is the only place I'm seeing this. Where did it come from, anyone know?

Edit: Sorry, fai website navigation means you have to know where you're going to find the way there. Got it now.

I'm imagining the paper itself will do something like collectable vouchers that would get people into the final

I'd imagine no change to current set up. I think the FAI take care of the match day exps and regardless of the attendance the winners get 50k.

On the airtricity deal, does anyone actually know if they are paying more than what the fai are paying out in prize money?

I'd say the fai are making a profit on both competitions.

The entry fees the clubs pay alone are greater than the total prize fund for the league.

Would a team on the end of a 10-0 thrashing and get half their players sent off, get knocked of the Cup, become the 'Side(bar) of Shame'?

Yes. As long as they have their tops off.
