Gaffney leaves Bristol Rovers and joins National League team Salford City.
A disappointing step down for him.
Five goals for Bristol so far this season, latest in a 6-0 thrashing of Northampton. Bristol don't look like doing much this season though.

That's the "Class of 92" side right? Worse places to end up I suppose.

Yeah, as much as anything, he need to be playing every week.
Gaffney is doing professional accounting exams or at least he was. He probably would have picked up a League Two club handy enough but I'm sure Salford would be an enjoyable and well-remunerated place to be and he'll have more time to focus on his career outside football in that league. Makes a lot of sense for a man of 28 who is unlikely to go past League One and came to professional football late and perhaps unexpectedly.
was watching salford city v leyton orient game earlier. didnt know that Rory Gaffney had signed for Salford. he took his goal fierce well. no sign of Dave Mooney though?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Already has a thread here.
tets, would you do the merger please ?
These LOI section blow ins know nothing
quick question I did a search on the search tool here on Rory Gaffney and couldnt find a previous thread on Rory Gaffney so felt justified at the time of starting a thread on him. where was I supposed to be going in the first place as this is the first time I have posted here in the Ireland forum.

Martinho, there's a thread here with an index of all player threads from the international forum: https://foot.ie/threads/107348-Irish...t-Thread-Links
On the bench at Wembley today for Salfords promotion final.
Salford win easily enough, though Gaffney didn't play. He's a Football League player again next season so, if he stays there.
Only just found out that Gaffney is on loan at Walsall, not doing so great: https://www.expressandstar.com/sport...-rory-gaffney/
I wonder if he'd be tempted back to LOI as he enters what I presume will be the later stage of his career.
