Encouraging effort in Dalymount this afternoon as Wexford edged out the home side on a 2-1 scoreline. Shane Keegan started with three new signings and went with Graham Doyle, Conor Whittle, Lee Grace, Ryan Delaney, Craig McCabe, Eric Molloy, Conor Maher, Peter Higgins, Rocks Keenan, Craig Wall and Conor English. Wexford started the better with the newly signed English being very prominent playing left wing. However, on 8 minutes Wixted for Bohs got a good shot away which Graham Doyle in the Youths goal managed to push away. On 25 minutes, English had a good effort which went a yard wide. Five minutes later, English came inside from his wing and set up Rocks who drilled it first time past Delaney from 20 yards out to put the Youths one up. With ten to go, Graham fluffed a clearance to give a Bohs forward a chance but managed to get down low to keep the score at 1-0 to the Youths at half-time. Wexford's more energetic midfielders of Craig, Eric and a very impressive Peter Higgins were winning more than their fair share of ball to give Wexford a good base on which to build. 1-0 to the Youths at half-time.
