Greek sprinters Kostas Kenteris and Katerina Thanou have been charged with avoiding a drugs test on the eve of the Athens Olympics and of faking a motorcycle accident hours later.

A two-month investigation ended with chief prosecutor Dimitris Papangelopoulos issuing charges against 31-year-old Kenteris and 29-year-old Thanou.
