I'm not sure about an U17 team but they definitely had an U12/14 team there. The young lads were at a few Galway United games.

Sorry, yeah, it was a younger team.

Interestingly, or perhaps not, he's included in the list of Irish player transfers on fai.ie

Isn't there some UEFA or FIFA rule against playing for/being signed to three clubs within the same year or something? I seem to recall Colin Healy fell victim to it when he signed for Cork...

Far as I understand, it applies to the domestic season he's in so as far as FIFA are concerned he's only been at two clubs. Healy (and Gareth Farrelly I think) had played for two clubs in England and then tried to sign for Cork, but that rule has since been amended to take account of teams playing different calendars.

Playing as a sweeper in the final, looks like a very good player. Very tidy and composed, he seems ambidextrous.

He's played alright but there is no stopping this Columbus team, they are all over Seattle. 3-0 now. Great match.

Sounders have better names and pedigree, wc players a cosmopolitan team, aussies, peruvian, irish, uruguayan

Everyone has a plan until they get smacked in the mouth. Columbus came out and played these guys off the park.

Yeah Sounders were overconfident, were pedestrian in the first half. You cant win with glamour names anymore
