If Gearoid goes to England we are due compensation, so that should be invested in a replacement if it happens.
Gavan Holohan may play in there at times, but would expect his main position to be in behind the striker in the role Buckley played last year.
any compensation for Geaorid (like all transfer fees) would be invested in facilities.
There'd be wages freed up anyway for that position.. unless it's already been filled.
Another central defender, winger and striker would be great if we can afford a few more.
Barry Molloy has rejected a new contract with ourselves at because of the "vastly reduced" money on offer.
Disappointing, but can understand the reduced wages and his subsequent decision.
Well Derry are irrelevant now as Molloy has rejected their offer. They offered him reduced terms as their valuation of him has fallen, but that doesn't mean their valuation is out of Drogs or Longford's price range. Still, I'd be surprised if he went anywhere other than the Irish league.
