If anything it was Power who deserved a card for his celebration after the penalty...the McGregor walk. Jesus!

Well it's obviously for jumping on the advertising boards in front of his own supporters. They seem to have gone pretty strick on that. At the risk of sounding like a killjoy, I can kind of see the logic when over-enthusiastic supporters tend to rush towards the player celebrating. Might be frightening enough if you have a young child with you, or for an elderly person. Maybe... or maybe it's just H&S gone mad and yet another symbol of an overly sanitised sport.

I think Pogba did it this season as well? Definitely remember a footballer doing it after scoring.

Out of the squad for tonight's game against Derby.
Duffy and Keogh miss out through injury, Pearce and Christie start for Derby, Pearce captains the Rams.

Any specific reason as to why? Simply not favoured?

Looks like Towell will go out on loan to the Championship next season and won't get his chance in the Premier League: http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/1528...gue_wish_list/

It must be very frustrating for him to see Horgan and Boyle more established at Championship level than he is, despite signing a year later.

Forget a loan, he needs a permanent move. Joining the lads at Preston would be a great move for him I think.

It was inevitable that he wouldn't feature next season for Brighton. Whether he was to move on temporarily or permanently was the question. Hughton seems positive about him which is great. Looking forward to seeing where he gets his loan.

Enough eggs in that basket as it stands. Last thing we want is him not getting games because of other Irish lads, or vice versa.

I think he would be very fortunate to get a move to a Championship team.

'Brighton show faith in Richie Towell as his contract is extended': http://www.the42.ie/richie-towell-ne...00292-May2017/

The club confirmed today though that have offered him a contract extension [until 2019]. It was announced on their official website, along with the news that David Stockdale, Gaetan Bong, Steve Sidwell and Niki Maenpaa’s have all been offered new deals too.

Five players who should have been capped whilst playing in the League of Ireland, according to Nick Menezes of Pundit Arena: http://www.punditarena.com/football/...eague-ireland/

He singles out Mark Quigley, Liam Kearney, Killian Brennan, Christy Fagan and Richie Towell.
