OLLIE also has 7 goals for the season.
Hartigols came against
1 v Bray
1 v Cobh Ramblers
2 v Dundalk
2 v Galway
1 v Monaghan
Note that he has been unable to score against any team higher than 8th in the table! That says it all really doesn't it?
Charles Mbabazi Livingstone Saint Patrick's Athletic 14
Glen Crowe Bohemians 12
Eric Lavine Longford Town 9
Seán Francis Shamrock Rovers 9
Jason Byrne Bray Wanderers 8
Robert Martin UCD 8
Stephen Geoghegan 8
With 7 league goals Hartigan has only 7 other players having scored more goals. Since Noel hasn't played in probably more than two thirds of the games (ok i'm sure someone will say hasn't played in 1/2 the ones he turned up for either ) thats not a bad goal scoring record is it? A little less than a goal every other game?
Come to think of it he hasn't missed many chances at all this season. He doesn't get in position for chances but when gets them usually scores.......

One may smile and smile and be a villan!
Hartigan has 7 LEAGUE goals & Ollie has 6 league goals.
yes a bitch fight
nice one..brightens up my day anyway
Im not sure about this at all but I can only think of 6 in the league that Hartigol has scored, Bray, Dundalk(2) Galway (2) and MUFC. Where was number 7?
Oh no not them again
Ollie has only scored against 4 clubs!
3 v St Pats
1 v Rovers
1 v Monaghan
1 v Bray
ollie certainly can do it against the bigger teams, unlike Noel 'Beanpole' Hartigan

Slim Noely got 1 against Cobh, which was the League Cup.
Think Pete has got it wrong
hartigol has only scored 6 league goals, not 7.
How he has managed to score that many is a miracle in itself!

I think any one of us here would be able to score against Galway, Monaghan, Dundalk and Cobh!Originally posted by Citymark

MURPHY and/or HARTIGAN OUT!
Apoligies my mistake. Ypou'll never belive it but I cut 'n pasted the scorers from a certain website only missed geoghans tally & was too lazy to go back 'n check so assumed he was on 8 & therefore Noel on 7.
Point that only 7 people have scored more than him is still valid.... People didn't say Glen Crowe scored a huge amount of his goals against Kilkenny last year
he's still a lazy waste of space.
He also sets up alot of chances aswel.
Also (if ye have noticed) we seem to have developed a tendency to draft Noel into the center of defence if we are hanging on to a game for the last few minutes. He's actually quite good at center back if ye have ever seen him there, just too slow & weak. (Please dont pick up on that point for his attacking abilities! )
Keep him there!
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.
noel is a good centre back, but a brutal centre-forward. so why isn't he playing there. hello liam? hello?
Ye may have noticed this 'tactic' Liam uses all the time.....
When city defending a lead/draw in the last 10-15mins of a game & some fresh legs needed to get some possession in the opposition half he'll never take off hartigan as he drafts him back as almost a sweeper.
I think its not an altogether bad decision to keep Noel on the pitch to defend dead ball situations it is a bit crap to draft him back to defend against 10 men....
I think that the big center forward is an option that Murphy and Dave Barry bith like and love. Jonny Glynn used always impress me when he played as he was so strong and dominant. I dont think that Noel will ever be like this unless he starts working out in the weights room but for the rest of the season I think that he will do.
Saying that though, I hear that John Carew is up for sale, after all the money that we got for Herrick & Kelvin we should be able to buy him and have enough change for a quick round of golf in Fota!

Have to comment on seeing Johnny Glynn being mentioned in the same paragraph as Noel Hartigan. Glynn wore his heart on his sleeve and gave his all. I remember some of his reactions to missing a chance are being given offside, you'd swear he'd been told he had a day to live. That was the thing about Glynn, no matter how badly he played you always new he was giving it his all. That's all a supporter can ask of a player.
While I'm sure Noel would like to care, he doesn't have enough in the tank to be wasting energy on giving a **** - it looks like he's putting all his effort into having a Sunday stroll.
.......insulting to Sunday strollers.
As a avid Sunday Stroller I find it offending to be likened to Noel Haritgan. Please retract that statement or you will be hearing from my laywers (plural)
life is random
if he puts that skyskraper in defence who can gunther push out....
j'accuse!
