Rovers end horror run

Roddy Collins gained his first win as manager of Shamrock Rovers and ended their awful run, thirteen league games without a win. Tonight Rovers beat their Inchicore landlords, St. Patrick's Athletic 3-1.
Trevor Molloy was gifted the opener after 37 minutes. Saints keeper Brendan Clarke spilled a Mark Rutherford cross and Dave Mooney passed to Molloy who had the easiest of tasks.
Mooney was again the provider for Rovers second, just five minutes into the second half, Stephen Grant making it 2-0.
