When you actually look at that starting 11 it wasn't half bad bar the lack of goals up front, something we always struggled with till the White peles arrival. I remember being gutted when Craig money left to go travelling he was a tough little Midfielder and I was a huge Thomas Hyland fan.

I'd certainly take him back at Limerick if he was available.
I remember that game well. Dirt game - good win though!

Where's Mooney and Hyland now. I. Think Mooney played in the league after his return from travelling. Think it was with Shels but not certain on that. Both Mooney and Hyland were good players with the club in their time with us.

Hyland went playing up the North, not sure if he's still up there or not. Yeah Mooney signed for Shels, don't think he played much though.

I'm sure we can let you off this time Marty. We'll blame the extended promotion celebrations!

Martin Deady is a done deal apparently. Was always Cobh's standout player, not that that was too difficult. Hopefully he'll prove a good addition.

Will be a great addition if true, will give Tiddler a run for his money at full back.

Always looked a good player for Cobh so hopefully he'll do well. Welcome aboard Martin.

Happy enough with who he have so far just need an out and out left winger and a few more squad players, assume we will hear more the night of the dinner dance if not before then
I think Smithers picked me because of my motivational skills.
Everyone says they have to work a lot harder when I'm around.

Well Deady can play on the left wing so it's probabaly another right winger we need now just to cover Don

I'd say Deady will be a left back. It's a big step up we're taking, wouldn't mind a couple more with Premier Division experience. Shannonside/Tony Ghee seemed to reckon TC wants more midfielders and defenders but is happy enough with his strikers. I remember him saying last season that he was very excited about Ger Pender so that may be why.

Considering we usually play 2 up top Id be very worried if we started the season with only 3 strikers on the books, I think Pender can be quality for us too given time but should one of the SOS get injured we would be in trouble at this level so I really think we need an experienced back up. Was hoping we'd go for Fabio but he's gone up North now.

I suppose Don can play through the middle as well if need be.
