    Town 2 City 0

Not a great game. Typical end of season fare.

There was a great crowd, though, especially for the game that was in it. Probably thought they might see another four after last Monday night's game.

There should have been a few more goals. Horgan had a great game and really kept the score down to just two. Delighted for Martin with a fine brace.

Congrats to Alan on being awarded Philips manager of the month. Well deserved.

Yeah. good crowd for a Tuesday against Dublin City, no offence but they're not Shels. Felt that a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping kept the score down. Prunty and Martin impressed most for the Town I felt, honourable mention to Deano too

Great crowd for a tuesday night, Robbie Horgan did really well, but the finishing was a bit poor. Puts the big teams to shame to see the stand/crowd. Did any of you think some of city's players were making no effort?

Well I really thought that our final ball was weak, this area needs sorting out next season. Baker wasn't great again and Eric worked his socks off. Keego coming off the bench provided us with some good flicks which tore DC open.

Again the heart of the team, Garto, Barry, Deano and John Martin set the tempo of the game.

Kirby got through a serious amount of work, Murph doesn't step up quick enough to a winger. Good nights work and I would like to see the season out with a good run.

A good result and a good crowd but a poor game on a cold night. Prunty and Martin were best for me. I agree with the comment regarding the effort put in by Dublin City. Certainly not the blood and guts display of a team fighting for survival, but considering the events of the past few weeks it is understandable.

    job done

Professional enough performance from town considering it didnt really matter to us the way it did to city. Their lack of fight was really surprising, evn allowing for events. Great performance from Kirby and once again Martin showed his class. We did enough although we never really pushed ourselves. Dessie could have been better but still was the provider

anyway good finish to the season

Some players were thinking of their places in Rovers next season. Cotsy , horgan , toocy, robbie Fareell & members of the old team really tried. Others just stood and watched or pretended to be injured. watch out on the highlights & watch rovers signings In fairness to Longford it could have been 6 nil.

What in God's name did he provide last night, he didn't bother his arse? Tried to rob the ball of Martins toes for his first...

What do you mean by a good finish to the season. 3 games, 2 at home left!

Possibly that we're in the end of the season period now? Only a week and a bit left...

A bit harsh on Dessie. He has been one of our best players all season - the only one that scores. Last night there were good and bad things, but I thought the positives far outweighed the negatives.

I thought some of his passing was sublime. There was one in particular that set up one of the many second half chances that just split the City defence. He was not happy to be substituted.

We need an goalscorer that can feed off his undoubted talent. There was a player wearing the No. 9 jersey for the opposition that would certainly go a long way to solving that problem - that's if Shels haven't (as rumours suggest) already snapped him up.

Forgot to mention the fact that there were four or five Rovers fans who came to the match to see whether we'd let Dublin City win (their words).. There was never much chance of that

Theres a lot of teams looking for Gary O'Neill, great player, deserves top flight football.

Rovers are like a leech on a wall, just when you think you've burned them off with a fag they cling on with the dismay to everybody else

Yeah, I'd much rather have 3 games next season against CHF than Shamrock Rovers....

the rovers fans are the ones who criticise the other teams in the league particularly other grounds of other clubs. Well I can see their point of view

on the subject of rovers, mr power's fav hoop player received a two-match ban in the latest list of suspensions. he'll miss the first two games of next season, unless there are competitive games after Nov 24. (fine of €50 also)
