Nice of you to say so, but nothing is nailed on.

We certainly didn't deserve to win the match and probably did just enough to earn the draw. I thought it was a bad game overall, and we never got going all night apart from opening 5 or 10 mins and parts of the second half. We just couldn't get behind the Rovers defence, maybe it was nerves, but that was definitely the worst we have played at home all year.

On to Bray now, 3 points is the focus and if we get that, Cork will know anything less than a win for them and it's over, but it's looking increasingly like the last day now, and if that happens the hope for us is we surely can't play that bad again.

    Fair enough!

Anyway, a good night for us. 2 wins for the league. Some on here were predicting dundalk would sail to the title. Hasn't happened.

That was never going to happen. It's a league ffs.

Our destiny is in our own hands. Same as corks. Bray up next. Not looking any further than that

This is the first time that I've started to believe. We couldn't pick a trickier game than Bohs, given our record this year, but a sell-out with the cross hopping will make it very difficult for them.

I feel now how I felt before we won the first division against Shels, and with our record against Kenny on final days.......it's bound to end in tears......

Delighted it looks like going to the final day. A huge boost for the league.

Only downside is that it clashes with the 2nd leg of the playoff so I won't get to see it!

That is ridiculous planning by the league. Should we be surprised?

Jesus Rovers and Dundalk are very mediocre sides. Makes this year all the more frustrating for us.

Yep we're by far the best side in the league.

Agreed. Pats the cream of the league.

Cork are easily the most noble.

I've no idea how those rascals in Dundalk will celebrate their fake title without feeling shame

Cork have done extremely well considering how small there squad is and a lot of local lads proving they are capable of playing at this standard. Also Brian linehan was a massive loss. Why should Dundalk feel shame?

I was being sarcastic. The best team always wins the league.

I hope that whole post was a joke. However, I'm going to bite. Our squad is/was not small. It's quite deep with quality throughout. Down through the years our squad is generally made up of local players. This is no different.

I disagree with everything you are saying. Apart from the regular starting 11 they don't have much on the bench. This squad is mostly made up of local players. This hasn't been the case in previous years.

St Pat's are the best team in the country at the moment, but Dundalk have been consistently the best over the season. They deserve to win the title. Terrible game of football last night, though. By contrast, Pat's looked like a well oiled machine against Drogs on Friday.

Pats fans, you must surely rue your mid season slump. Your guys are hitting a rich vein of form now and with us showing nerves I am certainly glad it's not Pats at home last game of season to decide the destination of the title
Only another 9 titles till Drogheda become pride of county louth!!!

Limerick have single-handedly ruined our title challenge, we only managed to get 1 point off them in the 3 games we played.
    Here on a technicality.
